Simple additional cameras.

Xiaomi knows how to make excellent smartphones for little money. The clearest example of this is the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus model.

The appearance of the smartphone is ordinary, but behind the unsightly “wrapper” there are quite advanced characteristics hidden. The device was powered by an eight-core, medium-grade MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor. In the demanding game Genshin Impact, the smartphone’s hardware delivers 40 – 45 fps without lag during prolonged gameplay. In general , the gadget’s display supports a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. A 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels is assigned to its role.

The model's triple rear camera breaks records in resolution - its leading 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HPX sensor deserves high praise. In addition, it has optical stabilization. But the additional modules in the main camera are a modest 8 MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2 MP macro sensor. The ambitions of the triple camera are supported by the high result obtained in the DxOMark tests (113 points).

Another mini-record holder in a smartphone is the technology of fast wired charging of a 5000 mAh battery - you can completely replenish the energy reserves in the battery cells in literally 20 minutes, using a 120-watt power adapter. As a bonus, the device was equipped with an NFC module and a proprietary IR port and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The model has all the data for dominance in the mid-budget segment of mobile phones.

Average autonomy.

In the middle price division of mobile devices, a serious struggle for the palm has unfolded. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo model can impose worthy competition on its class rivals.

The first notable highlight of the model is a pOLED screen with diagonal dimensions of 6.55 inches, a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels and curves on the sides. The display supports a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz and boasts HDR10+ support. A fingerprint scanner was built right into the screen for convenient unlocking of the device using a fingerprint.

The MediaTek Dimensity 7030 mobile processor debuted on board the model - a high-quality chipset of a confident mid-range. It also provides as much as 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and there is a non-expandable internal storage capacity of 256 GB. In games and under load, the smartphone does not overheat, maintaining stable performance.

The dual rear camera of the device, 50 + 13 MP, deserves special respect. The camera's leading sensor has optical stabilization, and in the DxOMark test it scores 103 points(an excellent result). The 32 MP front camera also doesn’t bother the rear cameras and produces images of excellent quality. The smartphone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery with 68-watt wired charging function. However, in terms of autonomy, the model stays afloat for only about 7 hours of screen time. In all colors except black, the back of the smartphone is covered in eco-leather upholstery. In addition, the body of the device has acquired full protection against dust and moisture IP68.

Simple additional cameras.

Smartphones from the Xiaomi Redmi Note line always remain at the top of the podium in the category of average mobile devices. The 13 Pro 5G model was no exception to the rule.

The smartphone is housed in a case with plastic frames and a glass back. It claims basic water protection IP54 - droplets of water or drizzling rain will not harm the device in any way. On the front panel side , the model is equipped with a 6.67-inch high-resolution screen (2712x1220 pixels) with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The high-quality picture on the display is supported by the loud sound of stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.

The hardware platform of the device is headed by the mid-range Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, and the memory in the configuration in question is provided with 12/512 GB(without an expansion slot). In terms of performance, the smartphone holds its own in the peloton, but does not particularly stand out against the background of its more powerful colleagues in the shop. Long-term autonomy of the model is ensured by a 5100 mAh battery with support for 67-watt wired charging. You can fully charge it from scratch in about 44 minutes.

The rear plate with a three-component camera proudly displays the “200 MP” label - this is the resolution of the leading stabilized image sensor. Its status is supported by high test results in the DxOMark rating - 120 points. However, they clearly saved money on additional modules, because the smartphone is equipped with an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2 MP macro sensor. The model is definitely worth the money, and for a little more money it’s worth taking a closer look at its advanced modification - Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G.

Super AMOLED 120 Hz screen, optical stabilization of the main image sensor of the rear camera, IP67 dust and moisture protection, design in the style of the Samsung Galaxy S flagships.
There is no charging adapter included.

The solid medium-class smartphone Samsung Galaxy A55 is made in the same style as the flagships of the Samsung Galaxy S line. It has the potential to become a real bestseller.

The model is assembled on a strong metal chassis and has good dust and moisture protection - IP67. Inside its body is a proprietary Exynos 1480 processor, which is similar in performance to the popular Snapdragon 7 Gen 2. The smartphone runs games and heavy applications at medium-high graphics settings. The mobile device's memory subsystem consists of 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of data storage. If necessary, a hybrid expansion slot allows you to increase the volume of disk space, but by refusing the services of a second SIM card.

Traditionally , the smartphone has a bright and rich Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution (2340x1080 pixels). Its refresh rate reaches 120 Hz, and a built-in fingerprint scanner was placed in the display. The energy supply for the electronic components of the device is provided by a 5000 mAh battery. Fast charging is present, but its power is low (25 W). But the charging adapter will need to be purchased separately - there is no power supply included in the factory configuration.

The strengths of the device inevitably include photo and video shooting. The model's triple main camera demonstrates high results in the DxOMark rating (108 points) and does not let us down in practice. Its 50 MP flagship image sensor is optically stabilized. Samsung Galaxy A55 is a reasonably priced device from a first-tier brand that will appeal to the widest possible audience.

“Pure” Android, proprietary Tensor G2 processor, wireless charging, IP67 water protection.
Only one version with 128 GB of memory, slow charging (18 W), thick frames around the screen.

The annual assortment of new Google products cannot be called large, so at some point the company decided to release, in addition to flagships, more affordable models with the prefix “a” in the name: they are similar to top-end devices, have similar characteristics, but differ in some more modest functions in order to reduce cost. Pixel 7a is a simplified version of the 2022 flagships Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Externally, it is practically indistinguishable from the usual “seven”: a flat screen, a neat cutout in the display for the front camera and a separate compact insert for the main camera unit, which visually divides the back panel into two parts. Of course, everyone has their own taste, but the smartphone looks fresh and differs from most competitors of the same type, identical in appearance.

The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3, the gadget’s frames are metal, and the lid is made of plastic. But this does not spoil the impression in any way, since the plastic is made of high quality and imitates glass well - visually they are practically indistinguishable. The only thing that spoils the overall picture is the thick frames around the screen. It looks like Google was trying to draw a line between the Pixel 7a and the flagship models. Large frames also affected the overall dimensions: with a 6.1-inch display, the smartphone should be more or less compact, but, for comparison, the iPhone 15 with the same screen diagonal is noticeably smaller. At the same time , the “pixel” body has IP67 water protection, so it can withstand even short-term immersions in water to a shallow depth(up to 1 meter for a maximum of 30 minutes).

Google devices are most often chosen due to their stable software and long-term support. The smartphone will receive major Android updates until 2026, and security patches until 2028, which is not bad. If you want more, Google has significantly extended support with the release of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro - they are guaranteed new versions of Android and security updates until 2030. At the same time, the Pixel 7a boasts “pure” Android, that is, without a bunch of pre-installed unnecessary programs, numerous advertisements and system add-ons that other manufacturers love so much. In addition, Google smartphones are among the first to receive the latest versions of the OS.

Another difference from competitors is the proprietary Tensor G2 processor. Thanks to it, the device works quickly, the interface is smooth, and most games can be played at medium and high graphics settings. The only frustrating thing is that there is only one version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of ROM. If there is enough RAM, then the storage volume may not be enough for active users, and, alas, there is no slot for a memory card.

A 4385 mAh battery is responsible for autonomy, one charge of which, on average, lasts for a day. There is wireless charging, but it is quite slow - 7.5 W. And regular wired charging is not much faster - 18 W, so it will take about 2 hours to fully restore energy.

Also, buyers often choose Google devices for good cameras. The fact is that the company is not chasing a large number of modules and megapixels, but simply does its job well. The model received a 13-megapixel front camera and a dual main camera, which includes a 64 MP sensor with optical image stabilization and a 13 MP ultra-wide lens with a viewing angle of 120 degrees. The result is decent photos and videos. In tests of the authoritative resource DxOMark, the main camera received 133 points. For comparison, the flagships Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus and iPhone 14 Plus have the same ratings.

Otherwise, the model has a good set of characteristics: an OLED display with a frequency of 90 Hz, support for 5G and eSIM, an NFC chip for contactless payments, an under-screen fingerprint scanner and stereo sound.
