The AOC 24G2SPU monitor belongs to the gaming series and offers a wide range of technologies to enhance display and enhance gaming efficiency. It is equipped with a high-quality IPS matrix with Full HD resolution, which provides clear images at viewing angles up to 178º. With a 1 ms response time and 165 Hz refresh rate, users get detailed images, while the wide 126% sRGB color gamut provides rich, vibrant colors. The monitor is compatible with NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible technology, which allows it to adapt to the refresh rate of the video adapter and eliminate tearing between frames while gaming and watching movies.

Built-in functionality is available for gamers, including a sight, timer and FPS counter. This will help improve the performance of games, especially in cases where such functions are not provided in software or are disabled at a certain difficulty level.

AOC Shadow Control and AOC Game Color technologies significantly improve the gaming experience in bright light or dark scenes. These features automatically adjust image settings to make enemies and details visible in dark areas of a game or movie. When you need to read books or view vertical content on social networks, the monitor can be switched to portrait mode.

AOC 24G2SPU is equipped with a USB hub version 3.2, which allows you to connect four peripheral devices such as a keyboard, mouse and flash drive. A cable management niche helps keep wires off the table. The USB hub provides stable power for all connected devices and fast charging of gadgets.

The monitor can be connected to several devices and switch the signal source in the settings. Three connectors are available for this: VGA, DisplayPort and HDMI. The built-in audio system consists of two speakers with a power of 2 W each, which provides basic sound for music and voice communication. The manufacturer provides a free AOC G-Menu utility for setting up the monitor, as well as six preset game modes for different genres.

Frequency 180 Hz + speed 1 ms GtG, additional gaming functions, TÜV Rheinland certified.
Bulky stand with tilt adjustment only.

The 2024 debutant from the MSI brand is a mid-budget 23.8-inch Full HD monitor, “tailored” for gaming use. It uses a matrix of the Rapid IPS category: it is characterized by a fast response - 1 ms GtG, which can become a competitive advantage in dynamic shooters, auto racing, and sports simulators.

The MSI G244F E2 is also notable for its high refresh rate of 180 Hz, which contributes to a smoother picture with minimal artifacts - blurring, tearing, etc. Adaptive-Sync video synchronization technology is also aimed at the same goal. Gamers can also expect additional profile options, including highlighting dark parts of the Night Vision frame, the ability to display an FPS counter, timer and crosshairs on the screen.

The monitor should not tire your eyes even after prolonged use. So, there is a flicker-free backlight and filtering of potentially harmful blue light is implemented. The model is certified by TÜV Rheinland, which confirms its safety for vision and, among other things, makes it the optimal choice for office work.

In general, the picture on the display will please you with excellent viewing angles, good color rendition and decent color gamut (118% of the sRGB space is stated). The brightness is a fairly standard 300 nits, and the contrast corresponds to the capabilities of IPS matrices - 1000:1. Probably, in a darkened room, the viewer will see gray on the screen instead of rich black on the sides of the frame, which refers to the shortcomings of the model.

The downside is that the stand is too bulky for a situation where it does not have additional adjustments other than tilt. Otherwise, the MSI G244F E2 is an interesting choice for a wide range of gamers and/or a variety of work tasks.

165 Hz, additional gaming features, 125% sRGB coverage, TÜV Rheinland certified, USB 3.2 hub with fast charging, height adjustment.
No significant deficiencies were identified.

The mid-priced monitor from the Gigabyte brand has a fairly universal design with a black body, a predominantly matte finish and the almost obligatory thin frames around the 23.8-inch display.

The stand of the Gigabyte G24F 2 has fairly large legs. But they guarantee excellent stability without the risk of falls due to accidental contact with the body. The stand allows you to not only tilt the screen, but also change its height within a range of 13 cm. Other features include a USB hub with generation 3.2 ports and support for fast charging of mobile devices.

The monitor is based on an 8-bit IPS matrix with moderate brightness of 300 cd/m², slightly increased static contrast of 1100:1 and a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels. The advantages of the picture include an expanded color gamut with coverage of 125% of the sRGB space and 95% of DCI P3. This may not be enough for professional work with photo and video materials, but for amateur graphics processing it is quite enough.

You can also consider the model for office tasks, because it has received a TÜV Rheinland certificate, which indirectly confirms safety for vision during long-term work on a PC.

The main focus of the monitor is gaming use. To confirm this, there is a high Hertz frequency of 165 Hz with support for AMD FreeSync Premium, a fairly fast response (2 ms from gray to gray), and an abundance of specialized functions. So, there is a convenient on-screen menu where you can turn on the sight, timer, FPS counter or Dashboard info panel, activate the Black Equalizer option, which will increase the visibility of the darkest areas of the picture.

Gigabyte G24F 2 is a balanced 24-inch Full HD monitor for gaming and more.

The Philips Evnia 25M2N3200W monitor provides the opportunity to plunge into a world of realistic and vibrant content, regardless of its application. It has a high refresh rate of 240 Hz and 8-bit color depth with FRC technology, which provides improved color reproduction and high detail. Thanks to its characteristics, the monitor is ideal for dynamic content such as action films, racing simulators and shooters. It has a low response time of only 0.5ms, which eliminates image blur and flickering. This allows you to enjoy every moment in games, be it turning on the track or dodging a bullet.

The monitor features a FHD VA panel and SmartContrast technology that dynamically processes incoming signals to enhance contrast in dark scenes. It is also possible to create and select from ready-made SmartImage modes to optimize settings according to specific tasks.

To achieve high image quality, high-quality digital signal processing is necessary, and therefore the monitor is equipped with the appropriate connectors: DisplayPort and HDMI. Philips Evnia 25M2N3200W is compatible with Windows, Android and MacOS devices, allowing you to connect it to PCs, laptops, set-top boxes and other devices. The stand has a special place for wires, as well as the ability to rotate the display to a vertical position, which is convenient when reading books or viewing information in a vertical orientation. LowBlue mode helps reduce eye strain, allowing you to stay in front of a screen longer and reduce dry eyes.

270 Hz + 1 ms GtG, Variable Overdrive and additional gaming features, built-in speakers, TÜV Rheinland certified.
Price is the same as for 24 inches.

Among 24-inch monitors, the representative of the TUF Gaming line from Asus is among the cohort of models with the highest Hertz. A refresh rate of 270 Hz is achieved when connected via DisplayPort (via HDMI maximum 240 Hz), which is designed to ensure excellent picture smoothness with any dynamic changes in the frame. And to eliminate jerks, blurring and other artifacts, profile synchronization technologies are supported - VESA Adaptive-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium, plus declared compatibility with NVIDIA G-Sync.

The Asus TUF Gaming VG249QM1A is also recommended for even demanding gamers due to its fast response - up to 1 ms GtG with the Extreme Low Motion Blur mode active. There are also many gaming options implemented here: from a sight and a timer, to various presets, the Shadow Boost lighting function and Variable Overdrive technology. The latter, even with rapid frame changes, can significantly improve the clarity and other image parameters.

The monitor is equipped with an IPS matrix with a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels. The strengths of the image include wide viewing angles and increased brightness to 350 nits, which is definitely enough to effectively combat glare. The color gamut (covering 99% of the sRGB space) and contrast (as for IPS) are 1000:1 at the standard level.

Additional bonuses are the safety of the display for vision (confirmed by a TÜV Rheinland certificate) and the presence of a pair of built-in speakers of 2 W each. The disadvantage of the model is that the stand does not have any special adjustments (only tilt), but it’s good that it is at least neat and not bulky. The downside is the high price for its diagonal. But if you want one of the best 24-inch gaming monitors with a really cool refresh rate, then the Asus TUF Gaming VG249QM1A is worth a closer look.
