While fans of the franchise are booking tickets for the premiere in advance, and money is being raised on Kickstarter to create a real X-Wing starfighter from the movie, online stores have prepared a number of interesting products based on the "Star Wars" universe. A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…

Radio-controlled droid BB-8

Already from the first trailers, the hearts of fans of the franchise were won by the new droid BB-8, which replaced the legendary R2-D2. In an interview, the film's director J.J. Abrams confessed that this funny robot actually exists. "He was going to play an important role in the film," says Abrams. "That's why we decided to avoid the temptation to make it on a computer." And if such a statement intrigued you, then we have good news: not only does it exist, but its compact radio-controlled version can be bought today.

Sphero BB-8 is a smaller copy of the droid from the new episode of "Star Wars". The device is a modified analogue of the radio-controlled robot Orbotix Sphero, adapted for home conditions. He received a new body and a head attached with a powerful magnet, thanks to which he practically does not differ from his brother from the movie. However, users on the web note that if you drive a droid into a wall properly, then his head may fall off. But it won't be difficult to get her back.

The control is carried out using a smartphone, but, in addition, the device has a number of interesting functions. So, the droid can independently explore the terrain, manoeuvring between obstacles, memorize the location of objects and follow a route laid out in advance by the user. There is even a special mode of patrolling the territory, although when it is activated, BB-8 just drives aimlessly around the apartment. But it's still fun!

Note that in the original trilogy, Princess Leia used R2-D2 to leave special video messages for Obi-Wan Kenobi. So, BB-8 has a similar function. The user can record their own message, upload it to the droid's memory and send it to someone. Interestingly, to see it, the recipient must launch a special application on a smartphone and point the camera at the droid.

Lego Star Wars

As you know, Lego constructors are a great entertainment for people aged 3 and up to 103 years. It is a mistake to consider them fun exclusively for young children. Many sets are not only striking in their size (4,000 or more parts), but also really complex, consisting of small parts or even movable mechanisms that a small child simply cannot cope with.

A special series of Lego constructors, created based on the famous movie, first appeared on the market in 1999 and has been consistently popular ever since. For example, the Millennium Falcon set (number 10179) turned out to be the second largest (in terms of the number of parts) LEGO constructor — it consists of 5195 parts. Such kits are often used not so much for entertainment as for collecting.

Other popular sets include the famous final duel between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader on the Death Star — Lego Death Star Final Duel 75093 , which ends the original trilogy. Or the Death Star itself Lego Death Star 10188 , consisting of 3803 parts and 21 characters. There is also a smaller version of the same Millennium Falcon in the set Lego Millennium Falcon 75105 from 10 999 up to 13 000 ₴ with figures of Han Solo and Chewbacca.

Sony PlayStation 4

Star Wars is a huge universe that has been living its own life for a long time, growing, developing, replenished with new stories and conquering new formats. Computer games are no exception. Even more, in honor of the release of episode 7, Sony has prepared a special limited series of Playstation 4 consoles with the appropriate design. It is difficult to find it in ordinary online stores, but instead you can pay attention to the classic prefix Sony PlayStation 4 and a number of modern games based on the universe.

Of the latter, we can single out Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars. This is an arcade sandbox dedicated to the heroes of various Disney worlds. The game may interest users of various ages, starting with small children, who will be able to transform into characters of their favorite saga for a few hours. Duels between Jedi and Sith, battles with an army of droids, planetary and space battles, races on hovercars and landspeeders and much more.

One of the latest and brightest and most interesting developments in this direction is the game Star Wars: Battlefront from DICE studio. In this case, we are talking about a more serious action from the first and third person with the ability to control equipment. The gameplay consists of dynamic battles in which the user can play on the side of the rebel troops or the Empire. It is possible to play in multiplayer together with 40 other players. Among the maps are battles for Hoth, Endor, Tatooine and other legendary planets. The possibility of playing for Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett, etc. is also implemented.

Children's masks

The New Year for children is always a fabulous mystery and the flowering of fantasy. A time when many favorite characters come to life at various performances, matinees and masquerades and appear before them in all their glory. And, after all, it's game time.

A little fan of "Star Wars" can be pleased with the mask of your favorite character. A rebel, an Empire soldier, Boba Fett or even Darth Vader himself — a child who is passionate about this saga will surely be pleased with the opportunity to transform into one of these characters at least for an evening as part of the game. Perhaps not all adults will appreciate it if a child comes to the New Year's matinee not in a bunny or musketeer costume, but the Sith Lord himself. But the child himself from this, most likely, will be indescribably delighted.

However, even small games at home with his father or friends can bring him a lot of pleasure, and also allow him to develop his imagination.

Notepad

Another notable option is a notebook based on the saga. These are in the assortment of the famous Italian brand Moleskine.

As an example, you can put a handy notepad for notes or sketches Moleskine Star Wars Plain Notebook Pocket Black . This is a limited edition, that is, the number of products on the shelves of stores is limited. The model is distinguished by the original Moleskine design, complemented by recognizable elements from the "Star Wars" universe.
