I bought a pen for a child of 8 years old as the first. The main factor is safety in order to teach the child how to use the device and not accidentally get burned. Met my expectations 100%. The plastic that comes out of the nozzle is warm, so it can be smoothed out immediately, making the drawing not a round line, but a flat one. In this case, you can fill the desired volume with a thinner layer, while spending less plastic. The outlet itself is not hot. you can safely draw them even on the body (but did not try). After we learned how to draw simple flat figures, we switched to three-dimensional ones. And then they realized that the pleasure is not cheap. According to the manufacturer, only their special rods are suitable for work, the cost of which is not small, but the consumption is quite impressive (short rods). It took at least 12 pieces to build the Eiffel Tower (alas, I did not count the exact number). The lack of speed adjustments also slightly spoils the opinion about the handle, in some cases the speed seems to want to be done more, and when you fill your hand, the speed will seem very slow at all. But the main thing in it - safety - and it is implemented. The child is satisfied with working with her and, most importantly, that he can do everything on his own without the help and control of parents. The volumetric dimensions of the handle can cause discomfort in handling, but this is a matter of habit. For 20 days of working with the pen, a little more than 100 rods were used up, which indicates that the pen can interest and captivate, but also about a high expense.
