From DDR to DDR5: What is the difference between generations of RAM and VRAM?Let's find out why DDR5 is better than DDR4 and earlier generations, and GDDR6 - its predecessors

How to choose RAM?Tips for choosing the optimal RAM parameters that will ensure stable operation and PC performance
Model overview based on user reviews
The A-Data Lancer Blade DDR5 2x16Gb is a highly recommended choice for those seeking stable and fast memory with low profile and low timings, making it ideal for platforms like AM5. It operates efficiently at 6000 MHz, avoiding complications seen at higher frequencies. Users appreciate its XMP and EXPO support, ensuring flawless performance and passing all tests. However, the packaging could be improved, as it arrives in a simple plastic box that may lead to damage during shipping. It's advisable to request additional protective wrapping from the retailer. Despite the packaging issue, the memory is considered a top competitor, with only GOODRAM IRDM DDR5 as a comparable alternative. Overall, it offers excellent performance and reliability for its price.
Pros
Cons
I chose the RAM sticks primarily based on the list of modules supported by my motherboard. I was looking for ones with 6000 MHz and timings starting at CL 30. For the AM5 platform, this is the ideal option. Above 6400 MHz, you start running into various complications, and the efficiency gain isn't worthwhile, so 6000 is just what you need. This memory has a low profile. I have air cooling, so it's important that the cooler fits properly. These fit, and everything looks neat. Of course, I'd like 64 GB, but 32 is enough for all tasks for now. The downside is mainly the price. Overall, I'm very satisfied; if you're looking for stable and fast memory, this is a great choice. low profile, radiator, low timings all ok use A-Data AX5U6000C3016G-DTLABBK less than month |
The only equal competitor to this memory is GOODRAM IRDM DDR5 2x16Gb. Don't even consider other modules if you are specifically interested in these characteristics. There are no more competitors. XMP support EXPO support Works flawlessly, passes all tests with flying colors. Packaging simply in a plastic flat box, which flies around all corners at the post office and weights are thrown on top of it - is not the best choice. The first board arrived damaged precisely because of such packaging from the manufacturer. So ask the store where you buy it to at least wrap it in bubble wrap. ![]() |
