When at the very first ultrasound, the doctor announced that we were having twins, I was both thrilled and a bit scared. On one hand, having two kids means twice the joy for a mom, but it also means double the responsibilities. My husband, however, was excited both then and later, when the doctor was able to reveal that we were not just having twins, but a boy and a girl. The due date was approaching quickly, especially since twins rarely reach full-term of nine months. So, we started looking for baby furniture and, of course, a stroller. Finding the right stroller proved to be tricky. There aren't that many models for twins, and the prices... But we managed to find this affordable option, which we've been using for about five months now. Spacious, there's plenty of room for our little ones. Sturdy, gives a sense of reliability and, in a good way, robustness. The frame is steel, and the wheels are large and wide. It has a reliable foot brake. The shock absorbers are decent but could be better. Although, it's probably more about the lousy sidewalks than the stroller. The baby bassinets are comfortable and light. The set includes a rain cover and a mosquito net. There's a bag on the handle and a large lower basket with decent load capacity. We haven't tried out the separate backrests on the sports module yet, but I think if everything is fine, we'll put them to use in a month or two. The stroller is very heavy. Assembled with the bassinet, it weighs over 26 kilograms, and you need to add the weight of two children. We're lucky to live in our own private house because carrying it up the stairs daily requires two people. Even for a physically strong man, doing it alone is challenging. It's not just about the weight, but also the size; it's wide, 72 cm, so lifting it in front of you is difficult. Even in the yard, my husband had to make ramps in some places; otherwise, it's hard to get around. It's also quite problematic on the street with high curbs. Plus, it's wide, so it can't fit through just any doors. |
