Magnificent amplifier. I hadn't even heard of this brand, and the low power was concerning. In the store, they connected it to Dynaudio DF 8—I was simply amazed that it handled them (the lows, of course, didn't fully reveal; more power is needed for such acoustics, of course). It works effortlessly with my Magnat Tempus 77 floorstanders, driving them with ease, with no hints of distortion, and it feels like the rated power is understated. Compared to my previous 120W Harman Kardon 3490 amplifier, I didn’t notice any lack of power. It sounds very good—no plasticity or dryness in the sound, very dynamic, with an excellent soundstage. All genres work great, I don’t listen to classical music. Input switching is done with a motorized knob—something I hadn’t encountered before. The volume control is also motorized, with preamp and power amp outputs connected by jumpers. The original remote worked badly from the start; after a year of struggling, I bought a universal programmable one. Peeked inside—a toroidal transformer, Sanken transistors at the output. Luxurious analog sound The original remote control worked intermittently. use AMC XIA 30 more than year |
