Not for phone, possibly for laptop in direct line of sight.

The headphones are cool, they hook over the ear, so the speaker doesn't direct sound straight into the ear canal, but rather somewhere in the middle of the ear. This way, ambient sounds aren't completely muted. The sound quality is decent but somewhat quiet, and others can hear it too—so it's not suitable for crowded places and public transport.

However, there's a major downside—the Bluetooth is terrible. Just covering the ear with the headphone with your hand and the connection drops. They aren't suitable for walking or sports if your phone is in your pants pocket. Even a slight head turn causes either one or both to disconnect, making it necessary to hold your phone in your hand. I've never had this issue with any other headphones.

Bright, long battery life, do not block ambient sounds.

Awful Bluetooth.
