They say you can install both wired and wireless M-BUS and LoRa systems on them to automatically transmit water usage readings. I haven't installed this myself, but the idea is interesting and deserves a deeper look because our water utility constantly claims that I use hot water. I send them photos and submit the meter readings every month, but they still keep adding hot water charges, not realizing I have a water heater.
In any case, these meters have been working for 3 years now, and there have been no complaints. They tally up, don't leak - what more do you need?
It has a rotatable dial, but it's quite large, so you need to carefully plan the space for those installing it in a small area.
