First, a neighbor bought a very similar model, but made in Ukraine. If my memory serves me correctly, it was a Pyramida brand and the model name began with the word Basic. I also wanted to buy the same thing, but then a neighbor’s experience made me change my mind. I bought exactly the same one, but from the Spanish company Cata. Externally, these two models are very similar, except that the “Ukrainian” does not have a special glass visor. But a twofold difference in price does not just happen. It is compact, attaches to the wall and/or a wall kitchen cabinet, as is done in my case, and does not take up much space. The fastening to the bottom of the kitchen cabinet is four-point and quite reliable. I would like to add that hoods of this type are the smallest of all similar designs. Compared to a similar Pyramida brand hood that my neighbor has, mine is noticeably quieter. In both cases, decent noise begins only at third speed. But the Cata has a calmer timbre of noise and is not as annoying. and the noise itself, in my opinion, is a little quieter. I note that their performance ratings are the same. The controls are the same, push-button, but the Cata's buttons are pleasantly elastic, while the Pyramida's two out of five are loose and a little loose. Now both button blocks work fine, but who knows what will happen to poorly spring-loaded buttons in two or three years. Cata also has an additional glass canopy, which helps to more fully capture fumes from the stove. And the last significant difference in the lighting is two bulbs for Cata versus one for Pyramida. A little expensive for this type of hood. The kit does not include a carbon filter for air recirculation. |
Compared to the previous hood, the Cata P 3050 inox is simply a magical technology. The price is affordable, and the appearance is universal and will suit almost any kitchen style. At least it looks quite presentable in my kitchen. Passing through the glass stand, the light is beautifully refracted and gives the room a special look. I would also like to note its compactness, which is important for our kitchen with an area of 8 square meters. When you turn on the model, a light comes on - an indicator light, and the noise from operation is almost unnoticeable, since its level is 40 dB (as written in the instructions). The hood is equipped with two grease-catching aluminum filters. They are very easy to remove and easy to wash (I do this in the dishwasher). Very nice backlight, which consists of an incandescent paw. The kitchen now smells of fresh, clean air.
