Model overview based on user reviews
The Chieftec AF-0925PWM fan is designed for use in computer cases and features a 90 mm size with a maximum speed of 2600 rpm. Despite its seemingly high speed, the fan's efficiency is reported to be lacking, as it cools less effectively than other models like the Deepcool UF 92, even at lower speeds. Users have noted that the fan produces a noticeable noise and an unusual squeaking sound, which can be heard even with the system cover closed. While it offers automatic PWM speed control, the overall performance and noise levels make it less desirable compared to quieter and more efficient alternatives.
Pros
Cons
The cooler is rubbish. I needed 90 for the processor, I was looking for the highest speed one. Before this, there was a Deepcool UF 92 at 1800 rpm (actually it turned almost 2 thousand), but it was not enough when the processor was fully loaded. I put this one on and after 5 minutes I took it back. At 2700 rpm it cools even worse (by 3-4 degrees) than the aforementioned deepcool!!! At the same time it makes noise and whistles. How can this be??? The noise at 2.7k rpm is within normal limits, but its efficiency is zero! In addition, at low speeds, when the noise seems to be minimal, it squeaks like throttles in a video card, you can hear it even with the system cover under the table closed. Conclusion - I put back the silent deepcool, it is much better. Is it just the price and the stated high speeds? Efficiency is completely zero at such seemingly high speeds. It squeaks, which is never observed in other coolers. Because of all this, the system unit is practically useless use Chieftec AF-0925PWM week |
