This case can serve as an ideal platform for an ultra-compact mini-ITX motherboard based computing platform. This case is powered by an external power supply, with a low-voltage DC-DC conversion board mounted on the inside of the front cover. This model has an additional side panel that allows you to use a 5.25″ drive in the Slim modification. The chassis is designed to accommodate a processor tower up to 30 mm high.

This is a low profile, small footprint platform that won't take up much desktop space. The Chieftec Compact IX-03B-OP computer case is equipped with a special mount, with which the case can be safely mounted on the back of the monitor. The system unit can be oriented both vertically and horizontally. The front cover is deaf. It provides only a power button, which works in tandem with LED indication. There are several connectors for connecting the power supply, at the top and bottom, allowing the user to determine the best option for connecting the wiring. The compact case has two slots for installing 50mm fans.
