Decent quality VS price. spring has arrived, and I was looking for new tires. I read different tests about Continental and it seems to show good results everywhere, with a mid-range price in this class. I've been using them for just 3 weeks and even managed a trip from Kyiv to Lviv over Easter. So I can confidently say how it performs both in the city and on the highway. Let's start with the city: the speed doesn't exceed 80 km, the grip on the road is excellent, no leaning in the turns, and braking is also spot on. The noise level in the city is perfect, you can't hear the tires at all. I'd give its softness a solid 4; anyone feeling discomfort likely inflates them to 3 atmospheres, but others won't have any issues. I haven't had the chance to drive in wet conditions yet, but judging by the grooves and their depth, the asymmetric tread pattern should handle water diversion well. among the drawbacks, it turned out that at high speed, the tires hum a bit, not just hum, but even whistle... that's approximately how you can describe this sound. Another downside, though not everyone may notice, is entering turns at high speed, or rather, in sharp turns, without braking but trying to accelerate through them. The car will lean toward the side of the turn, causing sliding and immense stress on that side, which will therefore increase wear. |
