A model that has replenished the range of one of the many sub-brands of Xiaomi — Dreame. The robot vacuum cleaner looks no different from competitors: a snow-white plastic case with a glossy finish, control buttons, a navigation sensor and a soft bumper that protects walls and furniture from damage in the event of a collision. But the main thing in the device is not its appearance, but the functions and capabilities.
First of all, it is a universal assistant, designed for both dry and wet cleaning. For these purposes, Xiaomi Dreame D9 is equipped with a 0.57 L dust collector, a 270 mL water tank and a microfibre cloth, which also has an antibacterial effect and destroys up to 99.9% of bacteria. Therefore, the robot is perfect for families with children. The Nidec brushless motor delivers good suction power of about 3000 Pa, but the vacuum cleaner does not work too loudly: the noise level does not exceed 65 dB, which is equivalent to a quiet conversation.
For more efficient cleaning, the model has automatic power adjustment, that is, it increases when driving on a carpet, from where it is more difficult to collect dust and other rubbish. The navigation system is responsible for the accurate building of a map of the premises and the route, various sensors help you navigate in space and avoid obstacles, and the wheels can overcome thresholds up to 20 mm high.
The control takes place using buttons on the case, voice assistants or through a proprietary application on a smartphone, in which you can schedule cleaning, specify a route, remotely start the robot, check the charge level and control the wear of consumables. An equally important role is played by a 5.2 Ah battery, one charge of which will last up to 150 minutes of battery life. Once discharged, the vacuum cleaner will automatically return to the charging station and then continue from where it left off.

The Dreame brand is part of the large Xiaomi family and follows its main principles - to produce high-quality multifunctional products with an adequate price. Therefore, we have before us a universal model for dry and wet cleaning from the middle price segment, which thoroughly cleans any floor coverings, collects animal hair and is suitable for large houses with several floors. The robot received a Nidec brushless motor, which provides a high suction force of 3000 Pa. But at the same time, the noise level of the vacuum cleaner is quite acceptable. It offers 4 powers and 3 wipe intensity settings, recognizes carpets and automatically increases the power on them, easily overcomes thresholds up to 2 cm high and, most importantly, vacuums and mop the floor at the same time. There are no complaints about the quality of dry cleaning, but you should not expect much from wet cleaning: the device can wipe dust and small spots, but it is far from more professional polishers. And this is not a minus in the manufacturer's piggy bank - this is how most robotic vacuum cleaners work.
A 570 ml dust collector is provided for dust collection, and a 270 ml tank for clean water. With economical use of this volume of water, it will be enough for wet cleaning of a large house. The HEPA filter traps fine dust and allergens, which is especially important for families with small children and people with allergies.

For navigation and route planning, the robot uses a laser range finder and various sensors that prevent collisions with furniture and falling down stairs. Moreover, it can compile and store several maps in memory - for example, different floors in a house. The maps are quite accurate, so the device knows where it is going, does not waste a lot of time, its routes are thought out, and there are no missed areas after cleaning - except for hard-to-reach corners, which are the Achilles' heel of most round models.
For control, the Amazon Alexa voice assistant and a mobile application are provided, which are as clear and convenient as possible. Here you can set up cleaning locations and methods, change settings, set restricted areas, edit room boundaries, and set up a schedule by day of the week with the choice of the desired rooms, suction strength and water flow rate. An important detail is that the settings are set for dry and wet cleaning separately - for example, the user can mark the carpet as a restricted area so that the vacuum cleaner drives into it, but at the same time does not wet the napkin with water and does not leave wet spots behind.
Responsible for autonomy is a 5.2 Ah battery, one charge of which lasts up to 150 minutes, depending on the operating mode. The robot is completely independent: having discharged itself, it returns to the charging station, after which it returns to where it stopped cleaning.
