Einhell CE-JS 8 is not a cheap car booster. The model is notable for the vaunted quality of the German assembly and support for the fast charging function of gadgets. But first things first.

Starting currents

First of all, the device is an auxiliary device for starting gasoline or diesel engines of small and medium displacement with a discharged car battery. A nominal starting current of up to 200 A is supplied through the terminal clamps of the booster, and in the short-term mode the peak current can be increased to 400 A. A two-pin connector for connecting the module with alligator clips is located “under cover” of a rubber plug on the short end of the model case.

Fast charging gadgets

Hidden inside the device is a trio of 2500 mAh batteries. Those. the total capacity of the built-in battery is 7500 mAh. Through one of the USB ports for charging gadgets, 15 W of output power (5 V / 3 A) is provided, the second USB connector provides charging of third-party devices at a standard rate of 5 V / 2 A. A cable with three "pigtails" is attached to the booster "out of the box". It is equipped with miniUSB, microUSB and USB-C connectors.

Along with many brothers in the class of portable launchers, the model has got a built-in flashlight with three modes of operation: constant light, flashing and sending an SOS signal. The booster weighs only 350 g, which means it can serve as a full-fledged replacement for a power bank with a nice additional function for starting car power units.
