I bought one of these for the country house specifically to prevent the freezing of utilities during the winter. I didn't choose it myself; I bought this model based on the advice of knowledgeable people. The advice turned out to be quite sensible because now it's impossible to buy anything better for this kind of money, absolutely impossible. It does an excellent job as a heater for a single room (for short visits without overnight stays and heating the stove) and as a standby heater that operates continuously in freezing weather to warm up the kitchen, where the appropriate water communications are laid. The unique feature of its thermostat is that at a temperature of +5°C or lower, it automatically turns on the heating element and prevents the temperature from dropping significantly. Naturally, it operates in a low-power mode, which is activated with the appropriate switch. In normal mode, with a maximum heat output of 2 kW, it heats up very quickly. A room about 14 square meters in size warms up in an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes. You can adjust the desired temperature with the thermostat. The package includes mounting hardware for wall mounting and legs for an alternative setup. The convector itself is attractive, looking understated yet modern. A short one-year warranty for the convector. Generally, convectors are known for their quiet operation, but not in my case. Every time it turns on or off, there's a soft but noticeable relay click. I’m a light sleeper, and these constant clicks make it hard to fall asleep. In my opinion, the lower part of the casing gets too hot. |
