![]() | Outdated Product 18 837 ₴ 23.8 inch Full HD monitor with good viewing angles, made in a modern "frameless" design. This model is designed for both domestic and limited professional use. The monitor has a really thin frame with a width of 7 to 9 mm and an interesting ArcLine stand in terms of design. The screen size dimensions are standard and are 60.4 cm at a resolution of 1920x1080. Such parameters provide an average pixel density of 92 ppi or 36 pixels / cm. The screen is based on an 8-bit (using the FRC method) IPS-type matrix with backlight on white W-LEDs (without pulse-width modulation and characteristic unpleasant flicker). The matrix of the LG 24MP88HV monitor has good colour reproduction (fullness of coverage of sRGB colour spaces is 99 percent), a maximum brightness of 250 cd/m2, a static contrast ratio o...f 1000:1, and excellent comfortable viewing angles (up to 178 degrees). The outer surface of the screen received a high-quality matte anti-reflective film, so you can comfortably work with it under any ambient light conditions. The response time of the matrix is pretty standard and is 5 ms for the GtG method and 14 ms for BtW. In fact, when using the Overdrive (medium intensity) function, the screen provides a fairly clear, blur-free image when watching dynamic films and handles well with action games. An analogue D-Sub VGA port and two digital HDMI connectors are provided for connecting a signal source. In addition, the monitor is additionally equipped with MaxxAudio stereo speakers (2x5W). |

I waited 2 months for it to become available here, I was considering getting it in Poland. I exchanged more than one piece. They all came with light leaks (visible on a black background in pitch darkness), otherwise, they are not noticeable. To detect them, set to User mode, brightness to 100%, black level to low, black stabilizer to 0, fill the screen with black and turn off the lights. Some had light leaks with white corners, others had white streaks at the bottom like a sieve. Mostly, the leaks were in two corners, and in the third corner, they were very small. I decided to keep the last one as it didn't have large white leaks and the black was nearly uniform. There are small leaks that are something between black, gray, and yellow, but they aren't really noticeable when watching a movie at night. If you set to "User" mode and set a high black level or simply choose "reading mode 1," no leaks will be visible in the dark, black will be completely uniform (in this mode, black in darkness is leak-free because it's not as black as it should be, it's like washed-out black or a mixture of black and gray). But if you want to see the PERFECT black in the Darkness, there will be small leaks, and they will depend on which side of the screen you stand and how strong the viewing angle is used. In daylight or with lamp lighting, you can enjoy perfect black without any leaks! I pondered for a long time whether to keep it, everything is great about it, only the small leaks on black in the dark saddened me. I thought maybe I should get something 2-3 times more expensive. The design is AMAZING! Among everything available on the market right now, it has the thinnest bezels in the world (Infinity Blade), currently making it the absolute flagship among all 24" FullHD monitors. After using it, looking at other monitors with larger bezels is hard. I didn't expect the speakers to be quite decent, but I also use the Digital Power Station software, which results in great sound quality. There is no flickering. Reading mode - in this mode, harmful blue spectrum light is reduced, making it healthier for your eyes. You can hang it on the wall, which isn’t a feature every $300-400 monitor has. I set “reading mode 1” and brightness to 0, allowing me to work comfortably from morning to night without eye strain. With the OnScreen Control program, you can adjust the main settings of the monitor without fiddling with the joystick, and divide the screen sections for multitasking. If you sacrifice the ideal black in exchange for a black-gray, you won't see any spots in the dark on a black background, everything will be completely uniform. To do this, you need to set "Black Level - High" in "User" mode or use "Reading Mode 1". In daylight or lamp light, you can enjoy perfect black with no spots! "Black Stabilizer" in dark scenes enhances the visibility, the higher its value, the better you can see dark moments on screen, and light spots on black in the dark become less noticeable when its value is high. The price today is $230-240, anything above that is overpaying. The previous model, the 24mp77, cost $180. Regarding the screen position adjustment options, we can only tilt it forward and backward, and even that is within a 25-degree range. But if you mount it on the wall, you can adjust it however you like. Since in reading mode the harmful blue spectrum for eye health is removed to allow for prolonged reading without fatigue, the white may seem not as usual, kind of yellowish (warm white), and black in this mode also changes to black-gray, but you quickly get used to it. They could have included an HDMI cable instead of a VGA. In Europe, the USA, and Japan, it comes included. In 2016, who needs a VGA cable when buying FullHD? I recommend disabling Smart Energy Saving, otherwise, the brightness will fluctuate from darker to lighter. The speakers at full volume (if set to 100% on the monitor) emit a buzzing sound; I have HDMI connected. Set it to 30-50% and everything is fine! The blinking bright white indicator when the PC is off makes me turn off the monitor at night. use LG 24MP88HV week i recommend it should buy |
am_obzor_i_testirovanie_igrovogo_4k_monitora_s_freesync_lg_27ud68_w/I quote: "On a black screen, Glow shows itself in all its glory, which is normal for all AH-IPS panels without exception. The 27UD68 fully suffers and 'backlight bleed' may disappear and appear in different areas depending on the viewing angle. It is, after all, a monitor with an AH-IPS panel, and also with a rather large screen diagonal. I can only give one piece of advice - reduce the brightness to a comfortable minimum. Then the backlight bleed will seem smaller, and the Glow will be less annoying."
I found a way to see perfect black in the dark without much backlight bleed resulting in almost even black. Set to "User" mode, brightness to 0, Low black level (which is the key to perfect black), and set the black stabilizer to 70 and higher.
I also talked with LG support, and they sent an example of unacceptable backlight bleed http://www.picshare.ru/view/7377608/
I hope I could help someone :)
