For a long time I wanted to buy an automatic blood pressure monitor for myself. Years go by and we are not getting younger, so over time, you need to be more attentive to your health. And since I exchanged my fifth decade five years ago, it's time to look after the pressure more carefully. Especially since it's been naughty lately. In the morning he jumps up and generally behaves inappropriately)) But I didn’t have time to choose a model and make a purchase, my birthday crept up unnoticed and my relatives gave me this device. Measures blood pressure and pulse quickly and accurately. It differs from a fully automatic blood pressure monitor only in that you need to inflate the cuff manually using a rubber "bulb." Some may see this as a drawback, but I consider it an advantage. The fewer moving parts, like the air pump in automatic devices, the longer the device will last. To be sure, I measure the pressure at least three times with brief three-minute intervals, and after the blood pressure monitor beeps with a long sound for the third time, it automatically sums these three readings and finds the average. Such an automatic average calculation is only possible for three measurements taken within the last 10 minutes. Additionally, the blood pressure monitor has a memory for 90 measurements and comes with a three-year warranty. Actually, I wanted to buy a fully automatic blood pressure monitor, but since "you don't look a gift horse in the mouth," I use this one. Moreover, the part of the procedure that needs to be done manually is not burdensome at all. The manufacturer’s brand name was also questionable, as I was considering A&D, but instead got this somewhat unknown Little Doctor. However, my experience using it has shown that the device is accurate and can be trusted. |
Singapore-based Little Doctor manufactures a variety of medical equipment for the home. A striking example of this is a semi-automatic blood pressure monitor named LD-2.
Three line screen
The tonometer measures the level of blood pressure in a wide range from 40 to 260 mmHg. In parallel, it fixes the frequency of contractions of the heart muscle. The measurement results are displayed on a large three-line display of the device: systolic and diastolic pressure indicators are displayed in large numbers, and the pulse is displayed in smaller font.
Average calculation
There was no free space for the compressor in the Little Doctor LD-2 case. Therefore, you will need to manually inflate the cuff with a rubber bulb. In order for each stage of measurements to go according to plan, it is accompanied by sound indication. And to get the most accurate result, the software assets of the model provide a function to calculate the average pressure for the last three measurements. Finally, the device's memory stores data from 90 past procedures.
"Residence"
For convenience of storage and transportation, the tonometer can be placed in a complete bag-case. A fly in the ointment in a barrel of honey — the device is powered by as many as four AA batteries (model colleagues in the shop often get power from one or two batteries). This affected the weight and size of the device. Batteries will need to be replaced after more than a thousand blood pressure measurements.
