I am familiar with power tools from Makita firsthand. When I was a construction worker, I got acquainted with the products of this company tightly and from the best side. This is probably why when I began to pick up a minisink with a long high-pressure hose, I paid attention to the models of this Japanese company. It turned out a little expensive, I expected to meet a more modest amount. But, since this machine will have to work, albeit a little, but daily, this is the very situation in which the miser pays twice. If you look only at the bare numbers, it is not entirely clear why this model has such a low cost. There are many models that show even a higher nominal working pressure (this machine has 110 atm), but their engine power is significantly less. There are two reasons for that. Firstly, many unscrupulous manufacturers love to overestimate the operating parameters, and this is especially true for all sorts of nouns of Chinese origin. And secondly, few mini-sinks are able to maintain such a working pressure with a high-pressure hose length of 9.5 meters. The hose has a relatively small section, so only a powerful pump equipped with a really powerful engine can pump through it up to 500 l / h at high speed. This Italian machine uses a progressive asynchronous brushless electric drive and a metal pump with ceramic pistons. Both key components are designed for long-term trouble-free operation and it’s not a pity to pay that kind of money for it. In my case, a sink is used, as a rule, with a fan-shaped jet. It washes vigorously, the pressure is good, the pressure is enough in excess. It makes a very loud noise, which, however, is usually typical for all such devices. Heavy, as much as 33 kg of weight, well at least the wheels are comfortable. |
Powerful mini washer for serious tasks
The technical characteristics of the Makita HW131 sink are quite worthy, although they are not record-breaking. Its power is 2300 W, and the productivity is about 500 l / h. An axial piston pump is responsible for supplying water at pressures up to 130 bar. But on flat surfaces, the sink can be easily moved, thanks to the large rubberized wheels. The sink can be stored vertically, but it should only be operated in a lying position. The device is equipped with a very long hose 15 m long, which allows you not to move the minisink during operation, even when washing large cars. The hose rolls neatly and without kinks on the storage drum.
Almost "full stuffing"
The package includes two nozzles. The fan nozzle has an adjustable nozzle that allows you to change the shape of the jet from a wide fan to a narrow water "beam" that hits one point hard. The second attachment, called Rotopower, is a "mud blaster". The rotary jet that it creates effectively washes away dried-on dirt. There is a water pressure regulator on the body of the minisink, with which you can fine-tune the water pressure in a very wide range from 10 to 130 bar. To control the pressure in the water supply system there is a built-in pressure gauge. The minisink has a separate tank for detergent, the lid of which also serves as a rotary regulator for dosing the chemical supply. For a more effective fight against dirt, the device can be connected to hot water (up to 60°C). The only thing missing for complete happiness is a brush, which would be useful for washing car wheels, but it can be easily purchased separately by looking at the catalog of accessories for Makita mini washes.
