A fully featured, standalone VR headset that opens up new possibilities for how you work, create, and play. This model is a direct competitor to devices from the popular Oculus Quest 2 line from Meta Corporation and is positioned as a product in the mid-price category in 2022. The main technical characteristics are similar to the competing solution, but use a different software platform.
Unlike most VR devices that use the computing power of gaming PCs, consoles or smartphones, this model is a stand-alone gadget that includes everything you need (Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 SoC, RAM and ROM, Wi-Fi and cooling system). If the user wants to expand the capabilities of the Pico 4 128 Gb virtual reality headset with additional content, then you can connect it to a PC using the Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) interface or the included cable.
The headset is equipped with two 2.56" screens with a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz. The interpupillary distance is easily adjusted using software-controlled drives. The design of the helmet is balanced in such a way that the helmet is practically not felt on the head. When running games on the built-in system, autonomy will be about 2 hours, when streaming from a personal computer, autonomy is reduced to 1.5 hours. Two built-in side speakers are responsible for the sound, and they do not drown out the sounds of the environment.
