From the press release:
Qtek 9100 is the first announced communicator model based on the latest hardware and software platform HTC Wizard, which is based on the latest version of Windows Mobile (5.0), built-in GSM/GPRS/EDGE module that allows you to work in third-generation mobile networks, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless controllers. HTC Wizard is a logical development of the HTC Magician platform (Qtek s100, i-Mate Jam), which became a hit in 2005 due to its elegant size and balanced features. However, in terms of design, the Qtek 9100 features a built-in slide-out mini-keyboard located horizontally.
This device is equipped with the operating system Windows Mobile 2005, 64 megabytes of internal memory with the possibility of expanding its volume using SD-cards, OMAP 850 processor with a clock frequency of 195 MHz. Qtek 9100 is a real pocket computer: thanks to its “kinship” with ordinary Windows computers, you can use this device to work with Office documents, receive and send e-mail with attached files, and synchronize data. For the mobile version of Windows, a huge number of programs are available, both commercial and free.
Since Qtek 9100 can work with office documents, the manufacturer has taken care of the convenient input of numerous letters and numbers. In addition to the touchscreen (press-sensitive screen), there is also a full-featured qwerty keyboard. To use the Qtek 9100 in phone mode, there are keys for accepting and rejecting a call; next to them is a multifunctional joystick, with which you can also control the device.
In addition to work tasks, Qtek 9100 is a true multimedia centre. Music recordings of various formats, videos, games (including java) - all this is available using the Qtec 9100.
Of particular note is the communication capabilities of the Qtec 9100. It can transmit voice in GSM networks of all bands - 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, transmit data not only via GPRS, but also EDGE, as well as via Wi-Fi networks. The device is equipped with Internet Explorer browser familiar to all users and Outlook e-mail client. For communication with other devices (for example, synchronization with a desktop computer), a Bluetooth module is provided.
