I don’t even know where I get such a desire to live not in a communal high-rise building, but exclusively in a separate house. After all, I was born and raised in a typical Czech high-rise building. And in a private house I was only with grandparents. But the fact is there, it was my old dream and I realized it only by the age of forty-five. I bought a house in the suburbs, almost next to the forest, made major repairs and now my wife and I are slowly moving there. The highlight of the house was supposed to be a non-standing fireplace, but it did not work out. More precisely, there was not enough money for serious alterations related to the hearth and chimney. But that's no reason to give up on a dream, is it? This electric model is relatively inexpensive, and its appearance captivated me immediately. Maybe with a real fireplace the atmosphere would be even cooler, but what this electric device gives out is also very cool. It was made in a modern, one might say cinematic format with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The glass is curved outward, which means that the hearth really looks like a real panorama. Firewood, that is, half-burnt logs covered with ash, are beautifully highlighted in red. And on the back wall, a special projection mechanism creates the effect of flames. The side walls are camouflaged as a brick treasure. The brightness of the flame can be adjusted in four levels to suit all occasions, from bright light for a well-lit day room to subdued dark red for an intimate evening atmosphere. In addition, the upper part of the fireplace has a built-in fan heater with a power regulator of 1 and 2 kW. There is also a thermostat. The kit includes a remote control. It is a pity that the illumination of the logs is made permanent, without the possibility of a sluggish flicker. It would be easy to do this and look much more convincing. The fan heater works fine, but it hums a little. For ordinary family or friendly gatherings, this is normal, it is simply not audible. But the intimate atmosphere of his buzz slightly spoils. |
The prefix Panoramic in the middle of the name of the electric fireplace from the Royal Flame brand appears for a reason — it makes it clear that curved panoramic glass is used in the model, which visually increases the size of the flame source.
Panoramic view
The main attention behind the glass panel is riveted to the smoldering logs. An imitation of a flame is projected onto the wall behind them, and the side walls are decorated to look like brickwork. The combination of all elements helps to create a special atmosphere of comfort, and its mood can be corrected with a four-step brightness control. In parallel, the user can change the volume of the sound that accompanies the visual effects.
As a heater
The electric fireplace is equipped with a built-in fan heater with a heating element with a maximum power of 2000 W (half-power heating is carried out at a power of 1000 W). Its operation can be organized for constant blowing of the room with streams of heated air or for maintaining a predetermined temperature(it is carried out in one of six modes in the temperature range from +22 to +60°C).
Conquest of hearts
For a better perception of the parameters being changed , a small display is placed on the front panel of the device, which automatically turns off when the settings are completed. The fireplace functions are controlled by the remote control and buttons on the front panel. Minor complaints from the owners of the device are found only regarding the constant glow of smoldering firewood, which I would like to see slightly flickering to achieve greater realism. However, even without this, the model wins the hearts of the public with its spectacular appearance and an abundance of useful features in the equipment.
