I'll say right away, the images are the best I've ever seen. Factory calibration is perfect (likely for the lifetime of the binoculars due to the roof prism design). Not a speck of dust under the lenses. The field of view is like a clearly outlined circle. Color reproduction is natural. Sharpness across the field is about 80-85%, with objects slightly starting to change shape almost imperceptibly near the very edge. Chromatic aberration is insignificant and only visible in very bright sunlight and only on metallic objects. At night, looking at the Moon, there’s no chromatic aberration "at all," the terminator line is clearly visible. Jupiter and its four moons. If in the Skymaster and Arsenal (15x70) Andromeda looks like just a white spot, in the Sigeta Imperial you can make out the entire oval structure of the galaxy. At night, on the ground, at a distance of up to 700m +/-, you can clearly see who is walking on the road without lighting, whether it is a woman or a man. The kit includes an excellent soft neck strap, and the weight of the binoculars is negligible, so you can wear them all day without taking them off. If in the Skymaster 15x70 at a distance of 3-5 km you can only see the green contour of large trees, with these binoculars, I can clearly distinguish large branches. At a distance of 20 km, Vytachiv village is visible, with houses on the Dnipro River slope. Overall, even at a great distance, terrestrial objects remain very clear, although small. Regarding Saturn, Skymaster shows a light circle without clear boundaries, in the Sigeta Imperial it’s quite a clear circle, with slightly blurred edges due to the brightness of the planet, and two small protrusions from Saturn’s discs are visible. Full compliance with the declared characteristics. The only negative for me was that the usual L-adapter does not fit it, there is not enough space between 50mm. lenses. ![]() |
Over the past year, my list of binoculars I've had the chance to use has grown to include Nikon Aculon 12x50, Levenhuk Bruno PLUS 15x70, and the more expensive Carson 3D 10x42 ED. Compared to Sigeta, the N.A 12x50 binoculars are mediocre, even though they are pricier than Sigeta. The image in the N.A 12x50 feels a bit foggy, plus there's more chromatic aberration. I've realized it's likely because of the blackened lens edges in Sigeta, which enhances contrast. As a result, the "black" in Sigeta binoculars is truly black, and the overall image is sharper. Looking through the Carson 10x42 with ED glass for 17k, there was no miracle. There’s barely any noticeable difference in the image, leading me to wonder why pay more. Not to mention, Sigeta also wins in terms of contrast, despite being four times cheaper. Regarding ED glass, I concluded there's more marketing than actual benefits with ED. All No ![]() |
