I do not recommend using regular water on a permanent basis in the engine system. For proper operation, you need antifreeze, and the best one is the one recommended by your car's manufacturer. Antifreeze does not damage parts, does not create scale, does not corrode seals and rubber gaskets, while creating a protective film inside the engine channels to protect against oxidation, rust, and other negative effects.
Depending on the car, you will need an average of 8-12 liters of antifreeze, depending on the make of the vehicle. This is a concentrate that is designed not to freeze even at -70. If you mix it 1 to 1 with distilled water, you will get antifreeze that can withstand frosts of about -25 to -30, approximately.
