На момент 2024 року, HDD якіб швидкі вони не були, яки би обєм буферу вони мали, морально застаріли. Я не бачу енсу в покупці жерстокого диску для системи, ігор, програм. Максимум, це записати якісь старі фотографії та відео, та покласти його на поличку. Для щоденних завдань, ні. Можливо для дуже вузького кола завдань. В іншому випадку у вас повине бути SSD. Вони не стучать при роботі, не свистять в багато разів швидші, та і ціна... Зараз цей диск в середньому коштуе 2500грн за 1ТБ, SSD хорошої фірми буде коштувати вам 3200-3500грн за 1ТБ м.2, як на мене ця переплата варта цього.
Насправді купув цей HDD коли 2500 грн коштували 250ГБ SSD, а цей WD Blue коштував 1200-1300 грн, тобто це було років 6-8 тому. І так, він досить працює як файлосховище. Але все що написав згори має місце бути, я не бачу в ньому сенсу, я зробив собі тиху потужну систему. І коли я щось запусаю з цього диска, я прям чую як він булькає, як чайник на плиті. Швидкість в порівняні з SATSIII SSD просто мізерна, а він на секундочку в 7200об, а в порівняні з м.2 на pcie 4.0 то він як слимак, котрий нікуди не спішить. Зараз я на ньому встановлюю старі ігри, які не потребуть швидкості від накопичувача, але вже думаю що пора його разом з WD Green викидати із системи і переходити сугубо на SSD. Надійний, довго прослужив, та й ще у чудовому стані.
На момент коли його купував був вигідніший за SSD, зараз ця первага майже зникла Доволі холодний під навантаженям. Булькає та торохтить при роботі, як і всі HDD.

I chose it for storing documents, photos and media files, and it showed itself in the best way: fast startup, minimal noise, and generally stable operation. Although it is not the fastest drive on the market, its speed is quite sufficient. Plus 1 TB of volume is the best option for home use at an adequate cost. With the recent upgrade of Western Digital's hard drive range, the role of the Blue series has changed. Now these are not fast HDDs with a rotation speed of 7200 rpm, although the WD10EZEX model is still on the market, but quiet ones at 5400 rpm. That is, the new WD10EZRZ replaced the Green series, which was completely removed from the range. The price has remained consistently low.
Ambiguous changes
On the one hand, the decrease in speed led to a decrease in sequential read and write speeds from 180 to 150 Mbps. Well, at least thanks to the 64 MB cache RAM, the access time to small files remained unchanged. On the other hand, the drive has become much quieter, which is especially important if you have a cheap thin-walled computer case without vibration-absorbing sleds.
Vector change
As a result, the updated WD Blue no longer fits the role of a system drive. It is better to install the operating system and frequently launched applications and games on a fast SSD, while on a low-speed HDD you can store music, photos and videos. Moreover, in idle time, it will completely turn off the engine (an energy-saving feature of Windows 7, 8 and 10).
WD10EZRZ worked for a little over a year and a half and failed, was used for file storage.
