One of the best hard drives I’ve worked with =) By the way, I’m writing from it =) Low noise Practicality Price Reliable Fast Speed. Windows XP loads from it in 15 sec, and Windows 7 in 25 sec. No flaws =) ![]() |
One of the best workhorses for an adequate price, I don’t need more than 1 TB, it’s an excellent file dump) Yes, there is the next lvl up in the person of nvme ssd, but you’ll pay a lot more for them) Price, practicality This is not a nvme ssd, haha, but they don’t exist, what else do you need from a hard drive?) |
Nice model, I liked it From this I can note its low cost and packaging Terrible sounds when you turn on the computer, and if you screw it in poorly it will vibrate a lot, but overall it’s quiet use WD WD10EZEX few months |

sky blue
WD Blue is arguably the most popular desktop hard drive series of recent years. The main reason for the success is an extensive range of models for any tasks and wallets. So, the latest revision of WD Blue includes models with a volume of 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 TB with a rotation speed of 5400 or 7200 rpm. Also on the market you can still find the old 500-gigabyte revisions.
Universal Tool
The WD Blue 7200 rpm high speed versions are designed to be used as the primary drive to which the operating system and everyday applications will be installed. The sequential read and write speed of these models is 180 Mbps. Of course, this is much lower than that of solid-state drives (up to 550 MB / s), but the ratio of capacity and price for HDDs is more favorable. For example, a terabyte hard drive costs the same as a 120 gigabyte hard drive. In addition, nothing prevents you from using only one HDD for the first time, and eventually buying an SSD and transferring the OS to it in two clicks (for example, using the AOMEI Backupper utility).
Silence above all
The low-speed WD Blue at 5400 rpm are distinguished by a reduced level of noise, heating and, as a result, greater durability. It is worth buying such HDDs exclusively in pair with an SSD, which will take on the role of a system disk. The hard drive will store music, photos and videos. You can also safely install games there, with the exception of those that are very demanding on disk speed (first of all, these are “open worlds” or “sandboxes”). In addition to 3.5" desktop hard drives, the WD Blue series includes 2.5" laptop HDDs, SATA and M.2 SSDs, and SSHD (hard drive plus solid state cache) hybrid drives.
