I was afraid that there would be vibration when the screw was operating, but 7200 rpm is quite a lot for such a small case as a laptop. But practice has shown that everything is in order, no vibrations are felt. Despite its compact size, this drive has quite "advanced" characteristics, both in terms of rotation speed and with a 16 MB cache. I took the 500 GB version for the laptop, compared to the old 5400 rpm screw, the performance increased significantly. The stuttering in online games has disappeared, especially when there are a lot of people in one place, locations also load noticeably faster. after the purchase, like most users, I tested the hard drive, everything is fine, there are no bad sectors. I have already installed both XP and Seven on it, everything works great. Speed pleases 500GB, 16MB buffer, works quickly, is quiet and hardly heats up even during prolonged use thought about it. Question about WD WD5000BEKT Система
может и глупый, но вопрос. Ноут далеко не новый, экспериментальная, так сказать, модель, на котором я всякие программки и системы "тестирую". Так вот, сейчас там Линукс стоит. Будет этот винт работать с Линухом? Читал про отдельные винты WD, что они, например, для работы с ХР просят родную утилиту. А как этот винчестер себя поведет?
