Tile cutter the size of a suitcase
The Zipper ZI-FS115 machine stands out among other models of equipment designed for cutting tiles with its compact dimensions. It is about the same size as a regular tool case. Yes, and it weighs only 4.87 kg — two times less than other bottom feed tile cutters. The machine can be carried like a suitcase, because it has special carrying handles. There are four rubber feet on the bottom surface, which absorb vibrations and do not scratch the surface. Small tile machine
A consequence of the small size are, of course, not so hot what features. The tool does not have the most powerful engine (500 W), and small disks with a diameter of 115 mm are installed on it. With them, the machine can only cut thin ceramic tiles (theoretically — up to 25 mm, but in fact it is better to limit yourself to tiles up to 10 mm thick). It is most convenient to work with materials of small size, because a small working platform (360x300 mm), despite the absence of sides around the perimeter, creates some difficulties when cutting large-format tiles. The table can be tilted (there are two fixed positions: 22.5° and 45°) for cutting tiles at an angle. The tabletop is made of plastic and wears out over time.
Another feature arising from the diminutiveness of the tile cutter is the mode of operation of the engine. To accelerate the cutting edge of a small disc, the motor has to rotate at high speed (up to 5400 rpm), creating a fair amount of noise.
