— devices with Android Oreo — the eighth version of this OS; it can be either the original Android 8.0 or the 8.1 update (but not the 8.1 Go version — such devices included to a separate selection filter).Android 8.0 was released in late summer 2017. In addition to general improvements (increasing speed, optimizing power consumption, etc.), it introduced a number of original features. In particular, the possibilities for setting up notifications have been significantly expanded: for example, users can set up sound and notification for different types of events in one application. Energy consumption is reduced, among other things, by controlling background applications and inactive tabs. Icons can be made dynamic, and programmes will issue notifications by changing the appearance of such icons. Multitasking has expanded to support "picture-in-picture" — for example, you can check your mail without interrupting watching videos on the social network. In addition, Android 8.0 supports universal screen gestures (working in any application) and the ability to edit the set of shortcuts on the lock screen.
