The purpose of this function varies, depending on whether the stroller has a reversible handle (refer to the relevant section). If a reversible handle is present, the swivel unit enhances its convenience. When the reversible handle is adjusted, the front and rear wheels of the stroller switch places, potentially causing movement challenges. To address this, the swivel unit allows the entire unit, including the wheels, to be turned when changing the handle position, ensuring the wheels resume their intended position.

If the stroller does not have a reversible handle, the swivel unit actually replaces it, allowing you to turn the baby sitting in the stroller in the desired direction — for example, facing forward when strolling, facing the parent when sleeping. In this case, again, the front and rear wheels remain in their usual places.

Thus, this feature anyway provides additional convenience. On the other hand, the swivel unit significantly affects the cost of the structure and reduces its reliability, and therefore is quite rare.
