— a variant found among adhesives (see "Type"). Such compositions are widely known under the general name "superglue" — a means for quickly connecting various materials. However, the specific specialization of such an adhesive may be different — in particular, products for flexible and rigid joints are produced.Cyanoacrylate has a high setting speed (from a few seconds), however, it may take up to a day for the final strength to be cured. Such a compound has a relatively low shear strength, and water resistance may vary depending on the specific composition: the most inexpensive adhesives are not water resistant, more advanced ones (based on ethyl cyanoacrylate) do not dissolve in water. The same applies to heat resistance: in general, it is low, up to +60 ... 70 °C, but specialized compounds can withstand heating up to +125 °C.
