— the saddle means the upper part of the bike — the one on which the cyclist directly sits while riding (seatposts are sold separately, see the corresponding paragraph). Modern bicycle saddles are very diverse in size and design; moreover, in most cases, they are rather narrow and, at first glance, very uncomfortable. However, even this shape was not chosen by chance, and when driving fast or dynamically, it is the narrow saddle that is most comfortable. But the wide one is better suited for a recreational ride.
