The Chinese manufacturer ID-COOLING is becoming an increasingly prominent player in the liquid cooling market, offering a wide variety of thematic series and individual models for different categories of users with an attractive price-performance ratio. In order to expand its sphere of influence in 2021, the Chinese brand launched a separate line of life support systems for video cards.

According to the manufacturer, the finished IceFlow cooling system is capable of removing about 300 W of thermal power from a video card and is useful in cases where stock cooling is completely unable to cope with its job. As a rule, these are near-top and top-end accelerators of the GeForce RTX 3080 level, which can be difficult to cool with stock coolers and radiators. In technical terms, IceFlow “water tanks” resemble closed-cycle processor LSSs, in which the water pump, water block and radiator with fans are pre-fitted to each other, and the system does not require additional maintenance after assembly.

At the beginning of 2024, only one model was presented in the series: ID-Cooling IceFlow 240 VGA with a 240 mm aluminum radiator, a built-in water pump, a pair of 120 mm fans with PWM rotation speed control and a water block with a copper base. In automatic mode, the life-support system operates in a balanced and quiet manner (rotation speed 800-2500 rpm), so there is no need to interfere with the algorithm of its operation. The set of mounts allows you to cover video cards from nine-year-old solutions to modern ones, including the NVIDIA RTX 3000 series GPU. The main condition is that the printed circuit board fits the format; for example, wide, low-profile models will not fit it.
