Computer

— microphones specially designed for use with computers — primarily for voice communication over a network. Such communication does not require high-precision voice transmission — it is enough that the interlocutor's speech is legible enough; in addition, low sound quality reduces the volume of transmitted data and facilitates their transmission over computer networks, especially with low communication quality. Therefore, computer microphones have a rather narrow frequency range, optimized for voice transmission, as well as simple design. Note that such devices are not suitable for all types of computer equipment — it is more convenient to use specialized models with laptops (see the relevant paragraph). This is due to the fact that computer microphones are most often designed to be installed on a flat horizontal surface, and when working with portable equipment, this may not be possible.
