Unlike Apple, known for its elite technology, Samsung can offer the user devices in a really wide price range, from very affordable to very expensive.
The main line is the Galaxy Tab (which can also include more advanced models of the Galaxy Tab 2). It includes the most popular solutions of the lower and middle price segments, sometimes very significantly differing in technical characteristics. The more expensive ones have a screen size of 10.1, the more compact ones are 7". Among themselves, they may differ in processor power, the amount of pre-installed memory, the presence or absence of a 3G or 4G module. One of the distinguishing features of Samsung tablets from iPad is the almost mandatory presence of a microSD memory card slot.
For some time now, Samsung Galaxy Note tablets have also been on the market. Their distinctive feature is the presence of a special S Pen stylus (supplied with the device itself), thanks to which it is much more convenient to enter notes by hand, draw on the screen. When performing everyday tasks and games, the user can safely do without a stylus, using his fingers. Samsung Galaxy Note tablets are somewhat more performant than Tab and, as a result, somewhat more expensive.
Since the end of 2012, Samsung Ativ Smart tablets running the Windows 8 operating system have also been on the market. These are the most expensive solutions that have displaced the previously released Samsung Series 7 Slate PC models, which worked, respectively, under Windows 7.

In the case of Samsung Ativ Smart, we are talking about quite massive devices with a diagonal of 11.6", equipped with a stylus. If desired, you can supplement such a tablet with a docking station with a keyboard (purchased separately, and also comes with some models), actually turning it into a full-featured laptop with Windows 8. These are very advanced devices, the only serious drawback of which is their too high cost.
Also at the end of 2012, Samsung Nexus tablets with 7- and 10-inch screens with very high resolution (the highest on the market at the time of their appearance) appeared on the market. They were created in direct collaboration with Google. These are very advanced solutions related to the above-average price category. Their important distinguishing feature is the use of "naked" Android without any pre-installed branded "lotions". The latter will be especially interesting for users who like to configure everything themselves.
Some time ago, Samsung also tried to promote the Samsung Galaxy S line, which included miniature tablets with 4 or 5-inch screen sizes running Android. The purpose of their creation was to compete with the popular iPod touch media player. However, the idea turned out to be a failure and the Galaxy S was never popular enough.
