Among the representatives of the kind of inexpensive floor-type fans, there are not so many worthwhile models that you can fully trust in the issue of salvation from the hot summer heat. One of the reliable options with a minimum of unnecessary functions on board is a simple "hard worker" Grunhelm GFS-1621.

The fan is the most ordinary device of a three-bladed design, providing the user with three keys for adjusting the speed of rotation of the propeller. As usual, the blade mechanism on the "head" of the model is hidden out of harm's way behind a radial grid that prevents foreign objects from entering the impeller.

The Grunhelm GFS-1621 case is supported by a cross-shaped stand (52 cm), which gives the entire structure reliable stability. The movable upper part of the fan controls the perimeter by turning horizontally by 90° and tilting the "head" in the range from 0 to 30°. Also in the characteristics of the model appears the figure "40", in which the maximum power of the device, expressed in watts, is encrypted.

A particularly noteworthy feature of the fan is the illumination of the control panel for the convenience of using the device in the dark. What is also interesting, it is customary at the factory to pack the Grunhelm GFS-1621 in a box in pairs, so when ordering one fan, there is a chance to get it in an unoriginal package. It is not worth getting upset about this, because the brand's products are rarely forged, and against the background of its democratic cost, there is simply no special sense in this.

The unpretentious "heat fighter" from the east european Rotex looks little different from colleagues in the low-cost shop. Nevertheless, there is something interesting in the arsenal of the model's functions, which significantly increases the attractiveness of the fan in the eyes of potential buyers.

The Rotex RAF49-E is based on an axial mechanism with a large four-lobed propeller, for which 3 rotation speeds are provided. At low speeds, the fan creates a light breeze in the room, and at high speeds its blades, which are "under the cover" of a metal mesh, easily blow paper products out of their way. At the same time, the device "looks for a victim" by independent turns of the "head", ensuring uniform distribution of air flows around the perimeter of a small room (15-20 m².).

The rotary knob of the mechanical timer keeps company with the buttons for switching the speed mode of rotation of the blades on the control panel. It provides the ability to set the fan shutdown time to 1 hour (in increments between values of 10 minutes). One of the disadvantages of the model is inextricably linked with the timer — many of its owners blame the handle for being too tight. Also, the shaking of the fan when working at high speeds is sometimes attributed to the category of shortcomings.

The foot on which the Rotex RAF49-E rests allows you to flexibly adjust the position of the fan in height (up to 125 cm). At its tips there are non-slip pads to give the model stability when installed on the floor. According to the "price / functionality" ratio, the fan can be safely identified as a cohort of low-cost segment leaders who offer good performance for an adequate cost.

The main activity of the Polish company MPM is the production of small household appliances. In particular, the production of a floor fan of the original MWP-01 design has been established at the brand's facilities.

The model is dressed in strong metal armor, embellished with chrome trim. Using a curved stand with three non-slip legs as a support, the fan blows almost from the height of the floor, which is due to the specifics of its structure. With the same success, it can be installed on any other flat surfaces of a suitable size: a large bedside table, a wide window sill, etc.

Large fan blades (45 cm in diameter) rotate in one of three high—speed modes — everything is like peers here. But the MPM MWP-01 lacks the horizontal airflow adjustment familiar for floor models. Instead, the angle of inclination of the bowl can be adjusted. At a high speed of "flight", the fan blows away poorly attached light objects in the path of the air flow, consuming about 100 watts of power.

Additional assets of the model include a carrying handle — an integral part of the durable metal structure of the fan. If the MPM MWP-01 design was to your liking, you should not postpone the purchase. Firstly, the model will decorate almost any interior with its presence, and secondly, it adequately handles with the obligations imposed on its shoulders to save from the heat by forced circulation of air masses in the room.

Many people associate the name of the UFO company with infrared heaters, which form the basis of the brand's products. Less well-known in wide circles are fans under the UFO sign. It is not worth discounting their small squad, because they offer the mass consumer much more than outdoor classics.

Unlike its peers, the ATSFI-121 fan model is made by a massive stand with a wheeled platform. In it lies the secret of the functional "pumping" of the device — a single unit with a "leg" is a climate control unit with "cold steam", as the manufacturer proudly calls this part of the design, and a panel of various indicators of the fan status.

In parallel with the fulfillment of the main mission — blowing the room with air flows — UFO ATSFI-121 disperses microscopic particles of water dust, acting as a humidifier, and saturates the air with negatively charged ions (ionization function). In addition, cold water, previously poured into a one-and-a-half liter tank of the humidification system, allows you to slightly lower the temperature in the room.

The operation of the model is controlled both from the control panel on the device body, dotted with numerous indicators, and via the remote control. Regardless of the chosen method, the user has the opportunity to set a timer for shutting off the blowing in a wide range — from half an hour to 7.5 hours.

Despite the attractive appearance, the plastic elements of the fan design cannot boast of outstanding workmanship, which raises questions about the durability of the model. Complaints from the owners of the device sometimes also come to a limited range of rotation of the "head" of the fan horizontally (due to the small length of the water supply hose). However, the models in the "full hardware" configuration are forgivable for minor shortcomings, because a few units of direct rivals can compete with it in terms of functionality.

The technologically savvy fan of the new generation from the Slovenian company Gorenje, well-known in wide circles, is packed to the brim with the most advanced hardware. Outwardly, it looks more like a stand with a microphone, because there are simply no familiar blades in the design of the model.

Gorenje SMART AIR 360 L belongs to a small family of fans with a rotor—less mechanism — the most expensive, but at the same time the safest and most functional solutions. It is able to distribute air flows in all directions: automatic horizontal oscillation of the "head" of the model is carried out at angles 360°, 180°, 135°, 90°, 60° and 30°.

Depending on the current temperature in the room, the blowing power is automatically adjusted in order to create and maintain the most favorable microclimate. Moreover, Gorenje SMART AIR 360 L is able to locate people in a room and redirect the air to the appropriate area. So the Smart prefix in the name of the model was assigned to her not for "beautiful eyes", but quite deservedly.

Three modes of operation are sewn into the electronic "brain" of the fan: Normal, Natural and Sleep (for a night's sleep). Switching between them is implemented by tapping on the intuitive control panel or using the remote control. They also set the model shutdown timer (from 1 to 8 hours). The fan costs more than its main competitors, but for the sake of advanced functionality, ease of use, a high level of security and, of course, providing the long-awaited coolness in the summer heat, the overpayment for it looks quite reasonable.
