Top 5 large screen gaming monitors
We independently test the products and technologies that we recommend.

A convenient comparison table will help you understand the differences in the technical characteristics and functionality of the monitors included in the review. To choose a gaming monitor yourself, you can go to the general catalog of gaming monitors. If you are considering options with a not so impressive diagonal, then check out the material "Immersion in the gaming world: TOP 5 gaming monitors".

The gaming orientation of the representative of the Agon line from AOC is emphasized by a strict and moderately aggressive design. Particularly noteworthy is the arched metal stand with the ability to adjust the height of the location, tilt and turn left and right. An additional decoration of the monitor is the back side of the case, where silver wings with decorative illumination are located (it is also duplicated at the bottom of the screen).
At the back of the AOC AG322QCX there are video inputs (2 HDMI, VGA, Display Port), a mini-Jack, a USB hub with fast charging support and a swivel headphone holder. There is also a pair of built-in speakers (2x5 W), the volume of which is enough, at least for comfortable watching videos on YouTube.
The monitor features a 32" curved screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio (the 35" version — AOC AGON AG352QCX 35 " black has an ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio). The display resolution is 2560x1440 pixels, which provides an acceptable pixel density (0.27 mm) without pronounced graininess.
AOC AG322QCX received an 8-bit VA-matrix with a high contrast ratio of 2000: 1 (blacks are deep and natural) and accurate colour reproduction out of the box. Peak brightness of 300 cd/m2 is enough to form a rich image and combat glare. However when changing viewing angles, colour reproduction distortions appear, the picture fades, and the contrast drops.
The AOC AG322QCX monitor has a fast response time (4ms) with the possibility of overdrive (additional overclocking). The use of the latter is not implemented in the best way and often causes artifacts in the form of loops in dynamic scenes.
The screen refresh rate is 144 Hz, in addition, the device supports FreeSync, which is designed to provide additional smoothness of the picture to owners of AMD video cards that are compatible with this technology.
Additionally, special game functions are implemented, such as shadow lightening (Shadow Control) and quick switching between profiles (a wired control panel is provided for these purposes). Protective technologies against flicker (Flicker-Free) and reduction of blue light (Low Blue Light) are also implemented.
Considering the large diagonal and Quad HD resolution, the price of the AOC AG322QCX looks very tempting, which makes the model the best choice for those who want to get a large gaming monitor without extra costs.

The monitor representing the ROG line is equipped with proprietary Aura Sync backlighting, the glow effects of which are synchronized with other gaming devices, for example, the Asus mouse. In addition to it, the Light Signature light signature (the manufacturer's logo or your own drawing) is projected onto the desktop.
The Asus XG32VQ also features a thin bezel that frames a 32-inch curved screen, a solid metal stand with three degrees of freedom (tilt, turn left or right, change height), a rich set of interfaces, including regular and mini DisplayPort, HDMI and 2 USB 3.0. All ports, if necessary, can be closed with a decorative cover.
The monitor is equipped with a VA-matrix with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. The maximum brightness is 300 cd/m2, and the static contrast ratio is increased to 3000:1, which provides both deep blacks in the dark and a pleasant picture in a well-lit room.
Asus XG32VQ is characterized by a wide colour gamut: 125% of sRGB space. The image on the screen is bright and saturated with colours, however, there are questions about the accuracy of colour reproduction: many shades look unnatural. You can eliminate this through settings, for which a convenient on-screen menu with a 5-way joystick and four buttons on the back of the case, as well as proprietary ASUS DisplayWidget software is provided.
The backlight uniformity is high, there are no flickering thanks to Flicker-Free, the viewing angles, as for VA technology, are quite acceptable.
The Asus XG32VQ monitor supports a frame rate of 144 Hz and AMD FreeSync synchronization, which, in tandem with a low response time (4 ms), gives a smooth video sequence without tearing, smearing or loops in dynamic scenes, adding responsiveness to the gameplay.
As an additional pleasant bonus, there are both special gaming profiles for specific game genres, as well as proprietary GamePlus functions (selection of a sight option, FPS counter, timer, etc.).
In general, Asus XG32VQ will perform well in games, as well as suitable for watching videos, surfing the net. If you do not plan to use the monitor for professional work with graphics (the “big brother” Asus ROG Swift PG348Q 34 " black will do well with this), and also appreciate the original appearance, then this model is capable of become your favourite.

The 32-inch Quantum Dot curved monitor offers all the same benefits as Samsung's current QLED TVs. The screen has a high level of brightness (350 cd/m2) and static contrast ratio (3000:1), wide colour gamut, acceptable viewing angles. This provides a bright, rich and highly realistic picture regardless of the lighting conditions in the room.
Samsung C32HG70QQ supports not only QuadHD resolution, but also HDR technology, implemented in the model through flexible local backlight control. It is designed to improve colour reproduction and expand the range of shades when playing the corresponding content, including such modern computer games as Assassin's Creed Origins, Mass Effect: Andromeda, Far Cry 5.
The monitor is equipped with a 10-bit VA-matrix, which, with a win in image quality, is practically not inferior to TN counterparts in terms of performance. The manufacturer claims a response time of 1ms (due to factory overclocking) and a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. With support for second-generation AMD FreeSync synchronization technology, smooth video without artifacts is maintained even when playing HDR content.
Especially for gamers, the Black Equalizer function is provided, which allows you to adjust the appropriate brightness level for dark scenes, which often helps to spot the enemy earlier in shooters. For popular game genres (RPG, FPS, RTS), ready-made presets are offered in the settings menu. Also, three buttons on the monitor case can be tied to the necessary game modes for their quick selection.
Samsung C32HG70QQ received three interfaces for image output: 2 HDMI and Display Port, there is also a USB hub and headphone output, a convenient joystick for image settings.
The monitor relies on a functional stand that allows you to adjust the screen position in height, tilt, swivel, and even change the orientation to portrait. But the stand is too bulky: on the table it needs almost 40 cm in depth, while for most 32-inch models this figure is at least 8-10 cm less. A compromise solution can be wall mounting, for which an adapter for VESA is provided in the package 100x100 mm.
Another disadvantage of the Samsung C32HG70QQ is the presence of high-frequency backlight flicker, despite the claimed support for Flicker-Free, which can cause eye fatigue. Otherwise, the model is deservedly considered one of the best gaming solutions in terms of image quality.

The 21:9 ultra- wide 34-inch monitor is slightly curved (curve radius 3800R), but this is more of a design decision than a way to achieve maximum immersion.
Despite the large diagonal LG 34UC89G looks pretty neat. The display is surrounded by a thin frame that visually enlarges the image. The screen is supported by a sturdy but very compact stand that will fit even on a relatively small desktop. The stand allows you to adjust the height and angle of the panel.
LG 34UC89G is equipped with an 8-bit AH-IPS-matrix with a resolution of 2560x1080 pixels. As for a 34-inch screen, the level of detail is not perfect, and the graininess is quite noticeable. But the problem of the "fat pixel" (size 0.31 mm) has a downside, since the monitor does not make high demands on the hardware of the PC.
The picture is characterized by a wide colour gamut (99% of sRGB space), which, together with high-quality factory calibration, gives accurate colour reproduction. The image looks realistic, moderately saturated and bright (the peak value is 300 cd/m2, while LG 34UC79G 34 " black has 250 cd/m2), and regardless of the angles review. But the contrast ratio of 1000: 1 and the specifics of IPS technology determines the minus that is traditional for such matrices — the appearance of highlights in dark scenes.
The matrix features a gamer-pleasing 5ms response time and a 144Hz refresh rate (additional overclocking up to 166Hz is possible when connected via Display Port). Emphasizing the gaming focus of the model is support for G-Sync, which will provide owners of PCs with NVIDIA graphics cards that are compatible with the technology with even smoother video sequences without gaps and delays.
The LG 34UC89G also provides basic profiles for various game genres, supports the Black Stabilizer function, which increases the visibility of dark scenes, and Crosshair, which displays crosshairs over the game picture in shooters.
Among other features of the model, it is worth highlighting the presence of a headphone holder on the back of the stand, Flicker-Free backlight flicker protection, a USB hub with a fast charging port for mobile devices.
If 2650x1080 resolution is enough for you, then this ultra-wide monitor has practically no worthy competitors with an optimal price-performance ratio.

The appearance of the monitor can be called strict, restrained and versatile. The lower edge of the screen has a customizable backlight. The colour, brightness and style of the glow (flicker, pulsation, etc.) are set for it. The stand allows you to adjust the height and tilt of the screen.
The Acer XZ350CUbmijphz has a pair of 9-watt speakers built in. The speakers are quite loud, do not wheeze and cope well with low frequencies, which in some cases makes it possible to do without purchasing additional computer acoustics. The set of interfaces includes HDMI with MHL and Display Port support, as well as 4 USB for connecting various peripheral devices and/or flash drives.
The 35-inch monitor features an ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio and a very noticeable screen curvature (2000R). The increased width, large diagonal and curvature provide good visibility and contribute to the effect of immersion in what is happening on the display. But the shortcomings of the Acer XZ350CUbmijphz in this case include a small resolution of 2560x1080. On such a large screen, a 3440x1440 picture would look better in terms of detail, and a certain graininess is inevitable.
The monitor received a VA-matrix with 100% sRGB space coverage, high dynamic contrast ratio (100,000,000:1) and a good level of peak brightness (300 cd/m2). Factory settings have accurate colour reproduction with deep blacks and a pleasant colour temperature. Image flaws include limited viewing angles and low backlight stability in light and dark scenes.
Game fans will appreciate the Acer XZ350CUbmijphz's 4ms response time and frame rates up to 144Hz. To optimize dynamic scenes, minimizing jerks and delays, the versatile Adaptive-Sync technology is designed. And to eliminate eye fatigue during long gaming sessions, the EyeProtect Flicker-less and Blue-light Filter protective features will help.
In terms of dimensions, main image parameters and a set of interfaces, the model is close to the representative of the Predator line — Acer Predator Z35bmiphz 35 " black which costs significantly more. The increase in price is due to differences in design, support for G-Sync and the ability to overclock the refresh rate to 200 Hz. But if, for example, you do not have an nVidia graphics adapter or an aggressive appearance of the device is not necessary, then the Acer XZ350CUbmijphz can become the optimal ultra-wide gaming solution.
