Monitor with backlight and light signature
Representing the ROG line, the monitor is equipped with proprietary Aura Sync backlighting, the glow effects of which are synchronized with other gaming devices, for example, the Asus mouse. In addition to it, the Light Signature light signature (the manufacturer's logo or your own drawing) is projected onto the desktop.
The Asus XG32VQ also features a thin bezel that frames a 32-inch curved screen, a solid metal stand with three degrees of freedom (tilt, turn left or right, change height), a rich set of interfaces, including regular and mini DisplayPort, HDMI and 2 USB 3.0. All ports, if necessary, can be closed with a decorative cover.
High contrast and wide colour gamut
The monitor is equipped with a VA-matrix with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. The maximum brightness is 300 cd/m2, and the static contrast ratio is increased to 3000:1, which provides both deep blacks in the dark and a pleasant picture in a well-lit room.
Asus XG32VQ is characterized by a wide colour gamut: 125% of sRGB space. The image on the screen is bright and saturated with colours, however, there are questions about colour accuracy: many shades look unnatural. You can eliminate this through settings, for which a convenient on-screen menu with a 5-way joystick and four buttons on the back of the case, as well as proprietary ASUS DisplayWidget software is provided.
The backlight uniformity is high, there are no flickering thanks to Flicker-Free, the viewing angles, as for VA technology, are quite acceptable.
Fast response and smooth video
The Asus XG32VQ monitor supports a frame rate of 144 Hz and AMD FreeSync synchronization, which, in tandem with a low response time (4 ms), gives a smooth video sequence without tearing, smearing or loops in dynamic scenes, adding responsiveness to the gameplay.
As an additional pleasant bonus, there are both special gaming profiles for specific game genres, as well as proprietary GamePlus functions (selection of a sight option, FPS counter, timer, etc.).
In general, Asus XG32VQ will perform well in games, as well as suitable for watching videos, surfing the net.
