When compiling the rating, only relatively inexpensive models were taken into account, due to their greater demand. Yes, some flagship devices belong to the category of “dual-symbols”, but these are rather niche solutions. Smartphones from leading manufacturers were also purposefully chosen, while at the same time the market is literally littered with monotonous and completely inexpensive Chinese devices, in which the presence of two (or even three) SIM cards has long become the norm.

A table of comparative characteristics of all models can be found here, and the full catalog of dual-SIM smartphones can be found here link.

Lenovo S660 8 GB / 1 GB

The most affordable model in our review, but also one of the most interesting. The attractive pricing policy of Lenovo, which has repeatedly announced its intention to take first place in the market, affects this.

The smartphone has a 4.7-inch screen, its resolution is 960x540 pixels (234 ppi) the vast majority of models in this class. But the screen is based on an IPS-matrix, and a high margin of brightness will allow you to use the device even in bright sunlight.

A distinctive feature is the metal back cover, which gives the device solidity, the smartphone looks more expensive than it actually is. Under the cover opens access not only to slots for SIM-cards and memory cards, but also to a removable battery. Its capacity is a solid 3000 mAh, which means you can use the device for one day at heavy load or several days at less than average load.

A 1.3 MHz quad-core processor and a video accelerator are enough to run demanding applications and modern mobile games. Built-in memory is 8 GB, which can be expanded with microSD memory cards up to 32 GB. SIM cards work in alternate mode. When one is used, calls to the second are not possible.

As for the cameras, the main one has a resolution of 8 megapixels, autofocus and flash. But the front camera with a resolution of 0.3 MP is only suitable for video calls.

Sony Xperia M2 Dual 8 GB / 1 GB

"Dual SIM" variation of the popular Sony Xperia M2 model. The difference between smartphones lies in the number of SIM cards, otherwise the devices are identical. Judging by the large number of positive reviews, Sony has managed to create an inexpensive but stylish "workhorse" with good performance, the capabilities of which will satisfy the vast majority of users.

The design is traditional for Sony mobile devices. There is a choice of three colours: black, white and purple. The battery with a capacity of 2300 mAh (one day of active use) is non-removable. On the one hand, this is a clear disadvantage, since the user does not have the opportunity to replace it in the “field conditions”. On the other hand, the body of the device turned out to be more solid, the thickness is reduced, there are no various backlashes and squeaks.

The screen with a diagonal of 4.8" has a resolution of 960x540 pixels (229 ppi). In terms of image quality and colour reproduction, it is not inferior to the screens of other similar devices, but does not surpass them.

The smartphone boasts high image quality, the main camera has a resolution of 8 MP. The application for it is convenient and offers the user a number of additional features, useful and not too useful.

As for the rest of the characteristics, this is such a “classic” as a 4-core processor at 1.2 GHz, a video accelerator, 1 GB RAM, as well as 8 GB of internal memory, expandable via memory cards.

LG G3s DualSim 8 GB / 1 GB

A simplified version of the LG G3 flagship smartphone. It has a design similar to it, but is inferior in technical characteristics. Supports the ability to work with two SIM-cards in the traditional alternate mode. Like the flagship, it has a distinctive feature in the location of the power button, which is located on the rear panel. The user can choose between two body colour options — black and white.

The smartphone has a screen with a diagonal of 5". The device is quite large, but thanks to the thin frame does not look bulky. The resolution is an impressive 1280x720 pixels (294 ppi). Individual pixels will be noticeable, but for this the user will need to look closely. Featuring good image quality and decent colour reproduction, the screen is perfect for watching HD movies.

A 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and a video accelerator provide standard performance for its class. The user will be able to run demanding applications and games, as well as watch HD movies. But one should not expect miracles, braking is quite possible. The rest of the parameters are standard: 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal memory, support for microSD memory cards. The main camera is equipped with a Sony Exmor R sensor, which allows you to take high-quality pictures.

The battery capacity of this model is 2540 mAh. This is quite good, but you can't count on more than one and a half or two days with quiet use.

Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 Duos 8 GB / 1.5 GB

A typical Samsung smartphone is an inexpensive but solid and well-built device that will satisfy users with above-average requirements. Made in the recognizable design of the company, with a plastic back cover, designed "under the skin." The user can choose between five colours. SIM-cards work in alternate mode.

With a diagonal of 5.25", this smartphone is the largest in our rating. At the same time, the resolution is 1280x720 pixels (280 ppi). Individual pixels are difficult to distinguish. Having good colour reproduction and decent viewing angles, such a screen is equally good for both work and entertainment.

The smartphone is equipped with an 8 MP main camera and a 1.9 MP front camera, which provide high image quality, which is very traditional like for Samsung. The hardware is based on a 4-core processor and an Adreno 305 video accelerator, that is, in terms of performance, this is a typical "average".

As for the amount of RAM, on this issue this model is also the leader of the rating — 1.5 GB is installed. With built-in memory, everything is standard — 8 GB, expandable via microSD memory cards.

Having a 2600 mAh battery, the smartphone does not show miracles of "survivability" — it will work less than a day and a half with not too intense use. But the battery is removable, you can always have a fully charged spare, as an option.

HTC Desire 700 Dual Sim 8 GB / 1 GB

The most expensive model in the ranking. One of the first reasons for the high price is that the smartphone supports the simultaneous operation of both SIM-cards. And this is its undoubted advantage over other models in the ranking. The device is positioned as an inexpensive alternative to the flagship HTC One.

Another advantage of this smartphone over other models in the rating is quality sound provided by HTC's BoomSound technology. This is sure to please music lovers.

The smartphone is equipped with a 5-inch screen with not the highest resolution of 960x540 pixels (220 ppi). It is built on a 4-core processor, the amount of RAM is 1 GB, and the built-in memory is 8 GB, plus microSD memory cards. All this filling is placed in a plastic case with a removable rear panel. The battery is also removable. Its capacity is 2100 mAh, so you should not expect miracles in terms of the duration of work from a single charge.

The manufacturer emphasizes the ability of the device to create very high-quality images. The main camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels, the user has many additional shooting modes. Various reviews on the Web speak of the ability to create high-quality macro shots and the ability to shoot well in low light conditions. The 2.1MP front camera is suitable not only for video calls, but also for taking selfies.
