Unfortunately, very often Russian manufacturers are diligently "encrypted", trying in every possible way to hide their country of origin. Manufacturers try to imagine that their products come from some of the Western European countries. Such trademarks are often referred to as "brands-werewolf".

However, many companies eventually outgrow this, so to speak, "teenage period" and cease to mislead the consumer. A typical example is the trademark Scarlett. In 1996, when this brand appeared, its full name looked like Scarlett England. This was explained by the presence of some investors from the UK, as well as the registration of the brand in this country. However, later, when Scarlett products were quite to the liking of consumers, such positioning was abandoned. Today, no one hides the Russian roots of the company. Another popular brand Vitek, which was positioned as Austrian, has a similar story.

Most Russian brands cannot be called completely Russian. Many of them actively cooperate with foreign companies. In some cases, this is the purchase of components or raw materials. In others, the products are completely assembled abroad, then simply branded as Russian.

East european-made electronics

interesting east european developments

Speaking of Russian electronics, perhaps we should start with the brand Highscreen, which is sometimes even called "folk". The rights to it belong to Vobis Computer, under it Android smartphones and other portable electronics assembled in Taiwan are produced. This product is inexpensive, but very high quality and functional, which determines its popularity.

Another very well-known Russian brand is YotaPhone, owned by Yota Devices. Smartphones produced under it are sold not only in Russia, but also in Western Europe. Their cost is quite high, these products are not for everyone.

Brands such as Rolsen, which creates various household appliances, are also engaged in portable electronics, LEXAND (navigators, smartphones, tablets), Rover Computers (smartphones and tablets), < a href="/katalog/JUST5/">Just5 (inexpensive push-button mobile phones), teXet and some others. They produce a wide variety of products, from smartphones to laptops. For example, consider portable acoustics and smartwatches teXet.< /p>

Rolsen also develops LCD TVs

More details about the Gresso and EDIC-mini brands. Under the first one, luxury models of smartphones and phones, as well as accessories for them, are created. Market-tested models from well-known manufacturers are taken as the basis, which are then put on expensive cases made from exclusive materials.

As for the brand EDIC-mini , then unique products are produced under it. These are professional miniature voice recorders, audio-video recorders, voting systems, autoinformers and much more. Many manufactured devices have no analogues in the world. The brand belongs to Telesystems.

Separately, it is worth mentioning the brands Shivaki and Supra . They are of Japanese origin, but the Japanese have nothing to do with them anymore. It is not possible to find out who exactly the owners of the stamps are.

It seems that in the first case we are talking about Russian-Indian roots, and in the second — about Russian-Chinese. However, this information is also unreliable. Anyway, Russia is the main market for them. Opinions about this technique differ. While some consumers are very satisfied, others express extreme dissatisfaction with the low quality of products. Looks like someone's lucky.

Russian-made household appliances

Above we have already talked about the brands Vitek and Scarlett. Under them, the most diverse small household appliances are produced, which are of good quality at a relatively low cost. These manufacturers do not hide their Russian roots, although they did so at the beginning of their careers. However, products are still assembled from Chinese OEMs.

But the brands Atlanta, Beltratto (ovens and built-in coffee makers), Bimatek (steamers, fans, heaters), Vitesse (cookware, steam cleaners, electric shavers), Gezatone (clippers, manicure sets, epilators), Ricci (large and small kitchen appliances), KRONA Steel (hobs, ovens) and some others are still "muddy", calling either Germany, then Italy, then France. In fact, the vast majority of products manufactured under them are also produced in China, in some cases in Poland, Brazil or Turkey. Consumer reviews show that the quality of these products can be assessed as average. However, they ask for relatively little for this technique, so the quality is quite consistent with the cost.

Products Bork (mainly kitchen appliances, like multicookers, electric kettles, bread makers, etc.) is positioned as a premium. Accordingly, its cost is high. Assembly is carried out not only in China, but also in Korea and even Germany. The quality is not perfect, but above average.

Fairly high quality distinguishes the products of the brands Polaris and Kaiser. At least the majority of consumers are quite satisfied with their purchases, and this is the main thing. These brands also stubbornly refuse to recognize their Russian roots, referring in every possible way to international holdings and German companies. This may change in the future.

In fact, this list is far from complete. There are much more similar companies dealing with small and large household appliances on the Russian market. The vast majority of them produce very cheap equipment with appropriate quality, assembled in China.

Software

Products Kaspersky Lab, in fact, need no introduction,< br /> one of the most popular antiviruses in the world

What Russia can really be proud of is software companies. What is worth only one search engine "Yandex", the services of which are willingly used not only in their homeland, but also in other countries of the former USSR.

Often, the products produced are unique and have no analogues. For example, the ORFO spell checker software package produced by Informatik LLC. The technologies underlying it are used by Microsoft itself in the MS Office package. Also worth noting are ABBYY's Lingvo dictionaries, Promt translation software from the company of the same name, and Kaspersky antiviruses from Kaspersky Lab.

There are other equally interesting software products. But most of them are of little interest to ordinary consumers, these are solutions for professionals working in various fields.

Other products

But the matter is not limited to electronics, home appliances and software. Many Russian brands work in the field of cosmetic products. For example, "Clean Line", "Black Pearl", Faberlic and "Eared Nanny". Their products are available not only in Russia, but also in some other countries of the former USSR.

There are also brands specializing in sports products. For example, Nordway, another representative of the "werewolves", positioned as Norwegian. Various sports equipment is produced under it. In terms of cost, these products belong to the average price range, their quality is good.

Sports brands that hide their origin also include STELS and Bask. The first is bicycles of various types, and the second is sportswear, backpacks, sleeping bags and other equipment. In both cases, we can also observe the average cost and good quality.

There are also a lot of brands of food and drinks, clothing, stationery, automotive parts and tools. But the format of the article does not allow us to go into more detail about the majority of consumer brands that have Russian roots. Needless to say, even just listing them doesn't work.
