A representative of the Home series from Optoma, this is a universal projector for gaming and multimedia entertainment. The gaming potential of the model is supported by high resolution - Ultra HD, low input lag (from 4.2 ms) and refresh rate up to 120 Hz (by default).

Optoma UHD35x has a profile mode, which in addition to low Input Lag also claims increased contrast and brightness (maximum 3600 ANSI lumens). The 240Hz smooth motion function will also come in handy to increase the smoothness of the video sequence at Full HD resolution. Separately, it is worth highlighting a pair of HDMI 2.0 ports and support for impressive image diagonals. So, if you have a spacious living room, you can count on a large picture (up to 300 " with a projection distance of 9.9 m) and comfort in multiplayer games with split screen.

The projector will also perform well in other scenarios, including watching movies or sports broadcasts. Thus, the color gamut corresponds to the Rec.709 space, which is considered the standard in cinematography. Plus, HDR content is supported and the refresh rate is 24 fps, which is used to create most movies. Other features of the model include a basic 10 W audio system and various interfaces for connecting external speakers.

The lamp's working life is from 4000 hours, which with daily use of about 4 hours will provide approximately 3 years of operation before replacement. And in eco mode - at least 2.5 times longer. For projection, you need to move the device away from the screen at least 1.2 meters. Focusing, scaling and trapezoid correction are carried out manually. And also available is color rendering adjustment if the wall tone is not white.

Additional advantages include a 1.1x optical zoom and a practical remote control with backlight, while bonuses include fairly quiet operation (up to 28 dB) and 3D support, which is typical for multimedia solutions.

Optoma UHD35x is a balanced 4K projector with an adequate price tag.

4K resolution, high brightness (4000 ANSI lumens), maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz, optical + digital zoom, automatic keystone correction, USB C port.
No 3D support.

The Viewsonic brand home multimedia projector is a solution for home use, including watching movies or TV shows, as well as gaming. The model is notable for its support of both optical (1.3x) and digital (2x) zoom, which will simplify the process of adjusting the projection to the capabilities of the room and the needs of the user.

Viewsonic PX748-4K automatically corrects trapezoid distortion, has a wide range of diagonals (from 30 to 300 ") and projection distances (from 75 cm to 9.76 m). At the same time, a 100-inch image can be obtained from a distance of 2.5 meters.

The projector's DLP sensor allows you to create a clear 4K picture with HDR content support. And a lamp with a 4,000-hour resource guarantees a high brightness reserve - up to 4,000 ANSI lumens. This is an excellent indicator by the standards of multimedia solutions, which will allow you to get a high-quality picture even in a lighted room. Good color rendering should be ensured by the coverage of 1 billion shades and the SuperColor enhancement function.

Gamers can expect minimal input lag (from 4.2 ms) and a maximum refresh rate increased to 240 Hz. These parameters will definitely come in handy in dynamic multiplayer shooters, racing games and sports simulators.

The usual 10-watt acoustics and a set of interfaces (with a pair of HDMI and a 3.5 mm output) are complemented by a USB C port. It is used here for streaming data, for example, from smartphones, tablets or portable consoles such as the Nintendo Switch.

The downside of the model is the lack of support for 3D stereoscopic imaging. If this is not a critical point for you, then the Viewsonic PX748-4K is a home entertainment projector with a good price-quality ratio.

Small range of projection diagonals, weak speaker.

The BenQ brand projector is focused on multimedia entertainment. It is based on a DLP sensor and supports a resolution of 3840x2160 pixels, which guarantees excellent detail. The picture also boasts accurate color rendering with the ability to display 1 billion shades (plus a color gamut of 96% of the Rec.709 space is declared).

The BenQ TK700 lamp will work for at least 4,000 hours (and up to 10 or even 15 thousand hours - respectively, in ECO and LampSave modes), providing a good brightness reserve (up to 3200 ANSI lumens).

In addition to excellent detail and color rendering, gamers are offered a refresh rate of 120 Hz at 4K (and up to 240 Hz for Full HD), as well as minimal input lag (from 4 to 16 ms - respectively in 1080p@240Hz and 4K@60Hz formats). Profile modes are available for games, including HDR, and the Black Detail Enhancement function is implemented, which improves the visibility of details in dark scenes.

Separately, we would like to highlight the presence of two HDMI 2.0, one of which supports multi-channel Dolby Atmos sound. This is an important feature considering the weak 5-watt built-in speaker (most competitors have at least 10-watt audio).

The projector lens supports 1.3x zoom, which will help you use the available space more efficiently to get a large screen. In addition, it has automatic trapezoid correction when manually adjusting the focus and zoom.

The minimum projection distance is 2.5 meters, and the maximum is 3.7 m, so spacious rooms are not required for the model - a standard bedroom, children's room, study, etc. will do. True, the range of diagonals is quite modest compared to analogues - from 100 to 150 ".

The BenQ TK700 is an interesting 4K gaming projector that can be recommended for relatively small rooms.

The Predator series from Acer traditionally includes gaming devices, and the GD711 projector is no exception. The model supports Ultra HD 4K resolution and is notable for its extended color gamut with 125% Rec.709 coverage. Gamers will enjoy low input lag and a popular refresh rate of up to 120 Hz with consoles and up to 240 Hz with PCs (at 1080p resolution).

An additional feature of the device is support for the VRR function, i.e. adaptive synchronization of the video sequence, like in progressive TVs. It is also worth highlighting the customizable gaming mode for various genres, including sports simulators.

The light source is an LED lamp with an excellent working resource. It will last from 20 thousand hours in standard mode, and up to 30 thousand in economical mode.

The minimum projection distance is 1.6 meters, which will allow you to get a 60-inch image. But from a distance of 8.1 meters, you can display an image with a diagonal of almost 300 ". The trapezoid correction is carried out automatically, and the focus and digital 2x zoom are adjusted manually.

The projector is notable for its own smart shell. Thanks to it, the device itself becomes a multimedia center with access to popular streaming services, including YouTube and Netflix. You just need to connect it to the Internet via Wi-Fi.

Other features include moderate noise (up to 27 dB), a 10-watt speaker, and support for HDR and 3D.

The Acer Predator GD711 can be a great addition to a gaming PC or console, or a standalone multimedia entertainment center.

The Asus LED projector can be classified as a solution at the junction of the middle and advanced classes. The important advantages of the model include the lamp used. It does not contain mercury, provides a decent supply of brightness (up to 3000 lm) and has an impressive durability - up to 30 thousand hours. Thus, with daily 4-hour sessions, its replacement will be required in approximately 20 years.

Asus H1 will please you with high-quality color rendering, because it is capable of reproducing over 1 billion shades and covers 125% of the Rec. 709 and sRGB color space.

The DLP sensor supports the Full HD format, but 4K content is correctly processed and displayed on the screen with a lower resolution. The refresh rate reaches 120 Hz, which provides a smooth video sequence, including in tandem with the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X console. Other gaming features of the model include a profile gaming mode, two HDMI ports and a wide range of screen diagonals, up to 200 " (at a projection distance of 5.7 m).

Correct projection is possible from a distance of only 1.15 meters - a 40-inch image is deployed. For easy adjustment, an auto-keystone and optical zoom with 1.2x magnification are offered, while focusing is performed manually. Crestron Connected certification with support for proprietary software is designed to increase the comfort of use. When connected to the Internet via LAN (RJ-45), remote monitoring is available, including setting a work schedule, receiving notifications and monitoring the lamp resource.

The disadvantages include the lack of HDR support and a modest static contrast ratio (800:1), although the latter is typical for many projectors. In any case, the Asus H1 is a solid model for gamers, especially those with gaming PCs with graphics cards that can’t handle 4K.
