Acer's relatively inexpensive K-series monitor is a versatile entry-level 24-inch solution. The model is suitable for many home users, office work or other scenarios in which high demands are not placed on the image displayed on the screen. It uses a pseudo 8-bit IPS matrix with a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels. It provides fairly wide viewing angles (without compromising image quality) and decent color reproduction (99% sRGB coverage is claimed), but contrast and brightness are at a basic level (1000:1 and 250 nits, respectively).
The Acer KA242YEBI monitor is suitable for long sessions, because it has a flicker-free (not tiring eyesight) Flicker-Free backlight. Connoisseurs of casual games will be pleased with the support for AMD FreeSync technology, a fairly fast response (5 ms) and a screen refresh rate increased to 100 Hz. The model has a discreet design, has a thin frame around the display, a remote power supply, and the interfaces are represented by only one HDMI and VGA port.
