The self-adjusting leather-trimmed headband reduces pressure build-up, while the comfortable and soft 3D-Form interchangeable ear cushions ensure long listening comfort. Innovative flat-wound voice coil technology and dual-layer Varimotion diaphragms guarantee deep, punchy bass, stunning mid-range detail, and full transparency of highs (KCH<0.1%). However, it is worth remembering that the AKG K701 headphones have an increased impedance resistance (62 ohms), and this circumstance does not allow them to fully reveal their potential with the help of smartphones, tablets and household-class players. Equipped with a durable 3-metre cable with a 3-pin Jack 6.3mm connector (adapter to mini-Jack 3.5mm included). The assembly of each copy of the headphones is carried out manually. Made in Austria.

The brainchild of Quincy Jones

Many audiophiles are familiar with the AKG K-series headphones, which were inspired by legendary musician and producer Quincy Jones. In particular, the K701 model has long stood at the head of the company's new line, offering the user the latest technological achievements of AKG such as the Varimotion double-layer membrane, voice coils wound from the finest wire and OFC copper cables with a purity of 99.99%. Thanks to this, even more than 10 years after the release of the K701, they enjoy a well-deserved love of buyers.

Perfect location in space

K701 belong to the open variety, but in terms of class they are more likely to be professional equipment. To determine whether they really deserve all the rave epithets, we decided to pay attention to the details and leave out the fact that they are versatile and play any music perfectly. And with the details here is an interesting picture: the K701 has an unusually wide stereo panorama with a clear arrangement of instruments in the virtual space. The tonal balance is almost perfect, the top is transmitted in great detail, the middle is smooth and without coloration, the bass is solid and accurate, with biting dynamics.

Memorable appearance

The appearance of the K701 is also remembered. The headband is made of thick leather with an elastic lining. The ear pads are adjustable in height and can be adjusted freely at an angle. Cases of open "cups" with replaceable rollers have a futuristic look. In fact, the headphones turned out to be very comfortable, although the fixation is rather weak, which is why the headphones can be accidentally dropped from the head.
