Thermal breaker and varistors

An extension cable with a 1.8-metre power cable offers not only a variety of connectors for organizing power supply to third-party devices, but also protects the connected equipment from short-term power surges and power surges in the network. For these purposes, a group of metal-oxide varistors is included in her circuit, capable of dissipating up to 918 J of dangerous energy. Also in the design of the model, a thermal disconnector is used — in case of exceeding the permissible load level, an auto switch is activated, interrupting the power supply.

The performance characteristics of the surge protector require the connection of devices with a total input power of up to 2500 W and with a current load of up to 10 A. Each of the four sockets of the surge protector is equipped with protective shutters that prevent curious attempts by kids to stick fingers or foreign objects into the socket. In turn, on the reverse side of the model case there are holes for wall mounting. A pair of USB ports without additional protection, but in this case it is not really needed.
