twelfth generation
Biostar Z690GTA is a full-sized ATX motherboard based on the older Z690 chipset for the latest 12-generation Intel Core processors (models from Celeron G6900 to i9-12900K are supported). Supports the current generation of DDR4 RAM with a frequency of up to 5000+ MHz, which is more than justified given the global shortage of DDR5.

The processor power circuit (17-phase), chipset, and M.2 slots for solid state drives (including Intel Optane), of which there are three, are covered with large aluminium radiators. Two M.2 connectors are represented by the PCIe 4.0 version (up to 64 Gbps), and the third is 3.0 (32 Gbps). You can also connect eight drives, SSD or HDD, with a classic SATA 3 (6 Gbps) interface.

The audio subsystem is represented by a 7.1-channel Realtek ALC1220 codec, and the network subsystem is represented by a wired 2.5-gigabit Ethernet Realtek RTL8125B and an M.2 Key-E slot for wireless Wi-Fi 6E. However the adapter itself will have to be purchased separately. The video inputs of the integrated graphics card, if any, are available in three pieces, all digital: HDMI, DVI-D and Display Port.
Graphics card for growth
A discrete graphics accelerator is proposed to be installed in the latest generation PCIe 5.0 slot. The second long connector x4 is already represented by version 4.0. They are both reinforced with metal, which allows you to use even large video cards. Of the eight USB ports on the rear interface panel, one is 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20 Gbps), five more 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) and a couple 2.0 (0.5 Gbps).
