Out of three years of operation, it worked flawlessly for one winter, and then sometimes had to be brought home or to the garage for recharging because in cold temperatures from -15°C to -30°C, it didn’t always manage to start the engine. The car with a normal battery starts in any frost no longer than 3 seconds. I bought this unit for a Passat B5 turbodiesel on January 29, 2013, and it worked fine for the first winter. Everything started in November with the first frosts; after parking for 2 days, the car wouldn't start, lacking power to turn the starter. I performed a full CCA test 4 times, determined through charging and discharging that the capacity dropped to 24 Ah after 11 months. Checked the car - self-discharge current no more than 50mA, the alternator even at idle gives out 14.3V. I will be going to return it in the coming days while the warranty is still valid!!! There was S4.74-, S5-85, each worked for less than three years. Works the first one and a half zivs. The following time demands a lot of attention, especially in frosty weather, as it does not hold capacity.
