The 2017 Plus X Award-winning Braun kettle is positioned as a stylish solution with a quick boil system. Unlike many analogues, the minimum possible volume for heating starts from 250 mL. A 2200-watt heating element can boil water for one cup in 45 seconds. The maximum capacity that the Braun WK 3100 electric kettle can bring up to 100 °C at a time is 1.7 liters. You can fill the flask with water either through a wide spout, complemented by a removable washable filter, or through a lid. The latter opens 90 degrees with a button located on the handle. Convenience and clarity of dosing will provide a wide measuring window with two scales indicating both the capacity and the number of cups. The kettle is available in two colours: white and black.

The shape of the teapot is slightly elongated towards the spout and resembles a jug. The handle at first glance seems unreliable. In fact, a very comfortable and full teapot is easy to hold in your hand thanks to such a handle. Water can be poured through the lid (opens smoothly with a button) or through the spout. The measuring scale of water is wide, located behind the handle. On the one hand on the scale - liters, on the other - cups. A full kettle boils in about 5 minutes (no more). The power button is huge, in the form of a key, when the kettle is working, it lights up with a green backlight. We use exclusively bottled water, but the scale still appears. But cleaning the kettle is quite easy - just boil citric acid once. I like the kettle, it works perfectly. Comfortable handle, a full kettle is easy to hold in your hand. Design
Externally, the kettle is very nice and will easily fit into the modern design of the kitchen. The shape is slightly elongated towards the spout and at first glance resembles a jug, and the handle, although it seems unreliable, is actually very durable and comfortable — the device, even filled, is easy to hold in your hand. It is not for nothing that the Braun PurEase WK 3100 received (as part of the PurEase Breakfast collection) the Plus X Award for innovative solutions. The body, although made of plastic, is durable and does not have a strong odour.
Volume and power
The maximum volume of the model is 1.7 liters, the minimum is only 250 mL, so even one cup of water can be boiled. Power consumption is 2200 watts. The kettle is not noisy, but it works quickly: the minimum amount of water boils in less than 1 minute, the maximum in about 5 minutes. During operation, the power button is illuminated in green.
The water level indicator is located behind the handle, so it is very problematic to see it while holding the kettle in your hand. Moreover, the level is not clearly visible, especially in poor lighting. But two scales are applied at once: on the left is the volume of water in liters, on the right — in circles, and this is definitely a big plus.
The spout here is quite large, the water does not spill, it has a removable filter. The lid opens smoothly with a button. However during boiling, steam passes through the cracks and the lid becomes wet. But after a minute it dries up. A three-level protection system is provided: the kettle automatically turns off when the water boils, if the device is accidentally turned on without water and when the device is removed from the stand.
By the way, the PurEase series also has a Braun PurEase WK 3000 with a volume of 1 liter and a Braun PurEase WK 3110, but with 1.7 liters and a power of 3000 watts.
