We got a set of knives, and naturally, the question of a good sharpener arose. We decided to get an electric one so my wife could easily sharpen a knife whenever needed. We bought it from the same store as the knives since it was on sale and felt well-made, so we went for it. It operates quietly, and I tried sharpening scissors with it as well – everything worked perfectly. All the knives we have fit in terms of blade thickness without any issues. It sharpens excellently, taking just about 1 minute to have a well-sharpened knife, though how long the sharpening lasts depends on the quality of the metal the knife is made of. The sharpener has 2 modes – sharpening and polishing, it’s powered by the mains, so there's no need to change batteries. It has suction cups on the bottom for extra stability. It weighs less than 1 kg, making it very convenient to use. I read somewhere that it’s suitable for sharpening ceramic knives, but I never dared to sharpen ceramics.
