In the screenshot, there is a switch to battery. (Accordingly, the signal form from the mains before the spike, and what the UPS delivers from the battery afterward). It can be seen that the main switch happened in 17 ms, if not being too picky. Sometimes the switching process doesn't distort the form as much, but in terms of time, it's always roughly the same. On idle, without charging, it consumes about 4 W. Unfortunately, there was no way to test the stabilization. - Quiet, doesn't whistle with chokes, doesn't hum with the fan (hums from the batteries, but very quietly) - Doesn't heat up - Buzzer and display can be turned off. It's nice that it doesn't scream with super bright LEDs or boast in other ways. - Very clean sine wave output - Accurately shows voltage and delivers a precise 230V when powered by the battery, with the ability to choose stabilization accuracy from the network - Decent, although slightly awkwardly translated software. Includes various schedules, disconnection based on remaining charge, transition voltage and stabilization settings, can work as an electricity meter, etc. - The display also shows power, runtime, voltages - Well, USB ports, Ethernet protection, also a nice touch - The switchover time to the battery is not exactly 4 ms, but that's common with many UPS. - Initially, it emits a strong odor. It's not overwhelming, but you can't get used to it; you're always aware that there's a UPS in the room. It's better to leave it somewhere else to air out for a couple of days. Many UPS units have a similar smell. |

Stylish UPS with correct sine wave
The CyberPower interactive UPS line, which includes the CyberPower CP900EPFCLCD uninterruptible power supply, is distinguished by its aesthetic appearance. The designers obviously tried to make not just a utilitarian "cube", but to create a device that would look beautiful on a table or in a cabinet. But this UPS is not interested in a single design. It also has good features. Inside the beautiful case there is a battery with a capacity of 8.5 Ah and a transformer with a stabilizer, which smooths out voltage surges and dips, protecting the equipment connected to the uninterruptible power supply. This UPS delivers current with the correct sine wave, so it is best suited for powering equipment that is “sensitive” to the waveform, such as gas boilers with modern automation, “cool” audio systems or computers that have power supplies with active PFC. The manufacturer provides for the possibility of a "cold start" - turning on devices connected to the uninterruptible power supply, even in the absence of voltage in the mains.
The more outlets, the better.
The back end of the CyberPower CP900EPFCLCD uninterruptible power supply is generously strewn with connectors for connecting various devices. Most of the surface is occupied by a block of six sockets with grounding (Schuko type). They are mounted at an angle (to accommodate large power supplies and chargers), each of them is connected to the battery. Consumers with a total power of up to 540 W can be connected to this UPS. In addition to power connectors, you can find sockets for an Ethernet cable on the rear panel (to protect the Internet line from power surges that occur, for example, during a thunderstorm). Next to them is a USB port. It serves not to recharge gadgets (such ports can be found on more powerful 780-watt and 900-watt devices from the same line), but to connect to a computer in order to configure the UPS and monitor operating parameters. However, you can monitor the operation of the device without connecting to a PC. On the front panel of the UPS there is an information display that displays the most important indicators, such as input and output voltage, battery charge remaining, current load, estimated operating time on the remaining charge, etc.
Another important advantage of this device is quiet operation. It doesn't whistle with chokes, it doesn't hum with a fan, and even audible alerts can be completely turned off in the settings. Therefore, the virtually silent CyberPower CP900EPFCLCD UPS can be placed even in a nursery or bedroom.
