I bought this model and want to share my opinion with others. I was very worried about the low quality of AU matrices. I took my laptop with me to the new post office and checked it thoroughly. Checking the TFT monitor with a test and also with fills showed that in my case everything is very good (no dead pixels, backlight uniformity is good, no jambs have been noticed yet). Over time, maybe something will change - I’ll post it. For comparison at home there is IPS, VA, and now this monitor is TN. I used to have a laptop with TN. I was pleasantly surprised that the viewing angles and colors on this model are comparable to VA and much better than I expected from it. TN on my previous laptop and TN on this monitor are heaven and earth, believe me. There is a film on the matrix (which very well removes any glare and reflections, and at the same time very well expands the range in which colors are not inverted), in the manual It seems like it is indicated that the coating also has scratch protection. Perhaps it has a crystalline effect, but I didn’t look closely and couldn’t figure out if I had it =) The fonts are beautiful, the pixels are very small. The main purpose of this monitor is games, mainly shooters. But watching videos on YouTube and surfing are also very comfortable. TNs have apparently made good progress in recent years. The kit includes an HDMI 2.0 cable, which carries 240Hz without problems, but there is no way to enable AMD Freesync mode. I am the owner of a high-end Sony TV with a pretty good smooth motion enhancer that very effectively improves the dynamic picture quality by generating additional frames and inserting black frames. (tests with Japanese content, ducks, etc., are a breeze for it) But believe me, the smoothness on this monitor is even a bit higher than on it! All artifacts have disappeared, the "stiffness" of the cursor is gone, and you simply don't feel the input lag. And now I understand that for gaming today, this is an absolutely new level of comfort :) The built-in port for device charging (according to the manufacturer, it delivers up to 2 A) is not suitable for charging (my unit provides a port current of 1.47 A when connecting a phone, with voltage dropping to 4.72 V, which is unacceptable). There is no true ULMB mode here (it is only available in the G-sync version). However, you can almost completely eliminate the Blur effect by reducing the brightness to 40% and the contrast to 30%. use Dell Alienware AW2518HF less than month |
